    I just went through this with a few friends I just got into the game. Played a game and they got annihilated and never wanted to play again.

    Then I rolled a smurf and flipped it around completely.

    We beat the other team so bad I felt like I needed to take a fucking shower afterwards.

    I've never played a legit bot game. Just occasionally loaded it up to practise jungle routes or spend a few minutes getting the mechanics of a new character down (skills, combos).

    It's really weird to me to think that for some people, it's their only experience with the game.

    I played a game with some of the SE folks and did alright my first game.

    Then bad my second game when somebody told me to use another guy because it would be better for a new person.

    Then I never played again.

    And that's my story.

    i do it to get first win IP when i can't be bothered playing a real game and it's always weird looking at the scoreboard afterwards and seeing people with like 500 wins



    and trying to learn lol by playing against bots is just setting you up to get completely fucked when you try and play for real, you will have to unlearn everything you learned and then relearn how to play properly

    At first I didn't really get this. If the idea is that people who play LoL online are scarily insane, why use known characters instead of random weirdos? But looking again, presumably they're all supposed to be on the same team, getting horribly reamed by the opposition. Probably not the best idea to start the middle panels with an obscure character who has possibly never appeared before and another redesign of Kara. I also don't get Tycho's line.

    I had no idea LoL was a team game, not having played it. And seriously, how many people would know who the hell that's supposed to be in the top panel?


    EDIT: Honest, try reading the comic as "all the people who play this free-for-all online game are insane." It works reasonably well on first pass.

    I thought max was made up... like the rest of the PVP characters. While certain characters may resemble people from Scott's personal and professional life, I was under the impression that they were not actual people.

    I hope I'm not stepping on some toes here, but someone in the pa vent raged so hard playing lol that he burst a blood vessel in one of his eyes and his eye got all red. So now he only plays bot games.
