Damn, I thought my Steam Wallet was going to last a little longer, at least until the beginning of the winter sale this year, but today's sale doesn't bode well. Ended up getting all four games.
I've been wanting to play Hamilton's Adventure for a long time, ever since RPS had a glowing review of it. Has anyone tried the co-op version where one person is Hamilton and one is the parrot?
Ranking one's wishlist is just another minigame within the metagame that is Steam.
Yeah, it's weird how many people have the expensive stuff randomly scattered when the contest is for the top 10 items on your wishlist
I know I'm not going to win the contest, not even bothering trying to get tickets, so my wishlist is just ranked roughly according to how much I actually want each game.
Mines ranked according to however the ended up as I added and bought stuff.

So, I'm considering Civ V on the UK GamersGate, but the amount of DLC is kind of turning me off. I am wondering if I should just wait to see if it gets a daily discount on Steam WITH some/all of the currently available DLC. Or a complete edition in some future sale. I really should pass on it, considering I don't need to muddy my backlog with a really open-ended addiction.

Like I said earlier today, the base price is $50, so it'd need to be like a 80% off sale to be at the same discount. And if there was, which isn't unlikely, you'd probably be better off picking the DLC piece meal anyway
Haven't been gifted anything, or done gifting (I'm budgeting out and seeing what I can spare, thinking of getting back some of the gents I won games off of during the holiday sale contests), but it's great to see the joys of sharing, especially with these guys new to Steam. Although I'm sure part of that might just be people who've been sitting on 8 copies of Orange Box games dying to find someone who didn't own one of them yet.
So....Dungeons. I remember people arguing about it when it first came out and I'm not sure what to do now. I loved the Dungeon Keeper series. Is it like Dungeon Keeper?
No. Its a fun game(imo) but its nothing like Dungeon Keeper. Their ad campaigns really tried to remind people of dungeon keeper though so it soured a lot of people on the game.
Okay, so trying to play something else just paused, then deleted, by 85% complete Just Cause 2 download. So hooray for that.
Restarting the download will likely cause it to pick up where it left off. (hopefully)
Also, while starting a new game will pause any downloads in progress, you can just Alt+Tab out and hit "Resume Updating," then Alt+Tab back to the game you're playing, and the download will continue in the background.

Well, that makes me sad. I might just get FarCry than and give myself a reason to upgrade my computer.
It's been 5~ish years since I played it, so I'm not sure how it's held up, but I'd say yes.
But also say, it may be closer to $5
When I played it long ago for the Xbox it was pretty great although I did beat it in the span of a blockbuster rental. I'd say yes, but wait until the last day of the sale in case it goes even cheaper!

Usually when a game with a bunch of DLC goes on Steam sale, the DLC gets the same discount as the main game.
So you can snag vanilla Civ V elsewhere and then take advantage of a daily sale on the DLC, if that comes to pass.
Or just wait for Civ IV Complete to go on sale again for a nickel and wallow in that instead.

I wouldn't let the amount of DLC turn you off of Civ5. It really isn't needed. Sure, it would be fun to play the Vikings, but odds are, no one else will be playing them either. Out of the 9 or so people I know who play Civ5, none of them bought the DLC.

Yeah, I just bought it. $11.18. Stupid enabling jerks.
...Okay, I don't think you're jerks. But you're a terrible support group.
I'm in the mood to give out dark messiah of might and magic. So post your best physics deaths, pointy poles and boots optional, and I'll pick one out in a few hours

Gaslight is an awesome, AWESOME man. No, seriously, out of the blue he gave me a game I've been wanting to pull the trigger on. Time to pay it forward.
Edit: Or I will, once Steam lets me view the page so I can see who has what I'm buying on their wishlist.

I need to be gifted a monsoon season here in Arizona. It is way too hot. Steam can do that now right?
I will help Steam to gift you a monsoon, but I need you to friend me (jclast). I can't initiate on the web apparently because instead of doing things sensibly the initiate friend request thingie is a Steam link. Or PM me your email and I will serve the Newell via the electronicest of mails.

As in, you pressed delete or Steam just bugged out and now it appears as if you have to start over again?
If it's the second situation, just restart Steam, the data should still be there, if it's the former.. Well, sucks.
is republic commando worth paying for $8?
I think so. I love that game and wish more people had a chance to play it when it released.
There's a chance it could be a daily deal, but it's still worth the money.

I also bought myself the THQ hit collection, The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, and all the Oddworld games.
I have a problem
It's not the low, low prices.
It's all you gooseholes enabling and pushing each other down this dark road.

I didn't know what you meant by physics death.
Also, any word on HOMMV + plus expansions. I like the style of game, but vaguely remember hearing not so great things about five.
Hooray! Thanks!
