Has anyone had any luck getting an OS X virtual machine running on a Windows host using VirtualBox (or any other VM software)? I'm not using Apple hardware, so this makes it a bit harder. From some searching, it looks like it wasn't allowed before, but now is, but only on Apple hardware? I'm not sure if this is true, but if it is, this can be locked up, because I obviously don't want to encourage breaking a license agreement.

It's possible, but this is borderline on the illegal category, as it's unlawful to install Apple's OS on any non-Apple hardware.

I'm thinking unlawful may be pushing it a bit to far. For sure it will be in breach of the license agreement with Apple but unless I'm totally wrong that doesn't make it unlawful it's more like breach of contract.
Plus exactly what Apple can legally demand in their license may depend on what country you're in.
Legal issues aside getting OS X on a VM has the same challenges as getting it to run on non-Apple hardware so that should tell where to look/google ;-)
