Programmers, I have a question on site updates and RSS feeds!

I work for a company in the health care sector and have been asked to help with the company's market development.

In this industry county and state governments put out Request For Proposals (RFPs) on their websites. These RFPs are essentially opportunities for which companies can bid.

The issue is that keeping track of all the sites these RFPs appear on is a logistics nightmare.

I had the idea of a management site that would gather updates from those RFP sites and display them in a list format.

Problem is, I don't know if many (or any) of these sites make use of RSS feeds.

Is there a way to gather site updates effectively even if they don't have RSS feeds enabled?

not sure how to address your question but you might have better luck in the technology tavern or the help/advice board

This'd probably be better placed in the tech subforum, but try RSSpect.

It allows you to create an RSS feed based off of just about any webpage.
