Virtual webcam?

I'm sure I've used some something before, but can't remember what. Plus all the google search results are a bit shady looking.

So does anyone know a decent free bit of software that will let me play a video file and make my pc think I have a webcam plugged in?

    It's late, but ManyCam will do that.

    Cheers. It wasn't any great big deal. Just a half idea I had but was afraid of so many dodgy looking sites.
