So I had hoped Portal 2 would be cheaper, but oh well. I'm still buying it, just not on Steam. I've bought the PS3 version for £5 extra, that way I can give my dad the PS3 copy and use the steam code myself and everybody wins.
Are any of the others particularly awesome (and reasonably priced - I know Portal 2 will be great but it's too expensive and I'll just grab it at Christmas instead) - NWN2, Dead Space 2 and X3 all look interesting but I'm not entirely convinced by the movies.
I'm now even more amused that the "guide NPC" in Terraria not only isn't very helpful but actively tries to get you killed.
"Oh hey bro, it's stuffy in your little wooden zombie defense hovel, let me open this door and let some of that refreshing night air in. Oh hey, zombies. Who'd have thunk it? Oh, I almost forgot, you should stay indoors at night since there are zombies outside."
He's at least somewhat helpful after the (last?) patch, when he can tell you what you can make with a material.

I feel like this little "feature" of the PS3 version was very poorly explained.
Basically, for this to work, you have to link your Steam to his PSN account, because Steam won't accept the key unless it sees that your linked PSN account has played the game.

Will it help if I tell you(without watching it) that for you to make anything you see in the X3 "movie" happen you'd need 11 days of constant gametime?

Also yeah, if anyone has that particular Portal 2 co-op bit unlocked I would love some help.
Also, if you need the Portal professor cheevo, I'm one of those guys that has yet to touch the co-op at all.

Then I don't need to worry myself about that one! Thanks
X3 is nothing like freelancer. (in that freelancer is a super fun game and x3 will literally destroy you)
also the X3 games don't really have much of a .... campaign. if I recall x1 and X2 didn't even have a campaign at all.
Basically Terran Conflict is a stand alone "expansion" that was built on top of Reunion. It has most (if not all) of reunion in it with a bazilion new features and missions added on
So if I just wanted to explore all 7 gigs of spacey space, maybe snap a few wallpaper pics, would I be robbing myself of much if I just cheated to infinite moneys?
I couldn't resist such a low price on the Terraria 4 Pack, and still have 2 copies left, so it's time for
Raiden333's Terraria Giveaway
Post a picture/video/whatever of the Most Awesome House in the world. I don't mean like FLW's Fallingwater, I want to see houses that are unique. Like an abandoned missile silo turned into a mansion or something (I've actually seen that one, so that's out, but there's an example for you).
Alternatively, if you don't know any super awesome unique houses, describe your super awesome unique house that you would build if you became rich beyond your wildest imaginings.
Whichever 2 entries I like best get Terraria. Make sure to add me to steam friends if you enter, and tell me your steam name in your entry if it's different from your forum name. Steam sig is below.

Haha, If you want to wait I'll go snap a pic of the wildest house/compound I've ever seen. And it's right down the road. Apparently this guy likes Egypt so much he built himself a pyramid to live in. (Northern Illinois, so, as out of place as you could hope to be. It's nestled between $300-400k subdivisions.)
found a pic online. I drive by this place a couple times a week. strange people.
Ugh. I've been waiting for Portal 2 to go on sale and the day it finally does is the day I don't have the extra cash for it. Damn you Neeweell!

I'll have you know that Rodent242 is a very classy fellow and gifted me the NWN2: Platinum pack out of nowhere.
He surely wears his Viking helmet with a small monocle.

5 bucks in steam wallet, 1.50 in my visa giftcard that I thought was more, making me just short of Neverwinter Nights 2, so guess it'll be Hitman Blood Money today. Has it aged well?
Speaking of contests! I happen to come across a few bucks in my paypal today, and since I have been on the back end this sale I want to make it up with my own... HITMAN : Blood Money Contest!
The rules are simple, PM me a video or story that you think best represents the most AWESOME assassination you've ever seen or read! It doesn't have to be original, but the one to pull out something I might not have seen a dozen times in movies might get the edge. Apologies if this was done before, but it was the best I could come up with.
Also as always, if I don't have you in friends already PM me your steam name!
Edit: I'll let the contest run until tonight, or until I run out of coffee. >,>

Anyone got a spare slot in a Terraria 4-pack? I think PayPal will let me send money directly from my account without a visa but if not I should be getting my replacement in the next few days.
Apparently contest posts within the steam thread proper aren't kosher, so I have transcribed my entry herein:
Yes, finally being an artist and having reference folders choked with awesome environments and buildings pays off!
Anyway, friended on steam, account name is also Scosglen.
I feel this house is pretty cool:
Love that shot. Immediately made me get "Famous Blue Raincoat" stuck in my head (you've been building... your little house deep in the desert) I know the house itself is kind of... house-like, but still, I love it too much for this not to win.

Oh damnit, I thought you already owned it, or I would have given you one of the copies before I ran the contest.
Was hoping that Vampire:The Masquerade - Bloodlines would go on sale for a bit cheaper than it is. I'm sure it's been real cheap in the past but I always seem to miss out on it.
Have plenty of stuff to play anyway so I can wait. Steam's crazy sales are almost making me consider making PC my primary gaming platform and stopping buying games at launch. Although I really do love new game hype so we'll see.

I'm thinking that, maybe Hitman, maybe Terraria. Though actually, with the backlog I've got I may just contest one of those.
Consensus seems to be that Terran Conflict basically obsoletes Reunion
Checking elsewhere seems to show that Reunion is slightly more plot focused, but that Terran Conflict is unarguably the better game
But Terran Conflict is where its at if you are not interested in the story, and care more about the empire building.
Editors Note.
Whoops I misread the prices, yeah all you want is Terran Conflict unless the story of the previous games matters to you.
Someday.

It's very, very forgettable. The story is quite boring, and the mulitplayer isn't very active.

Honorable mention to a Ferret
The only reason that didn't win is because it's from a photoshop context, not a real house. :P
