Okay, I've been digging around for a few days trying to find this game, and wouldn't you know it, as soon as I give up and come here to ask, the forums are dead.
So, now that they're back up...
The game was a shareware game. Came out oh, maybe a year ago. It was a third person/overhead shooter, post-apocalyptic setting, but not really futuristic. I want to say aliens invaded Earth, and you started as a mechanic or something like that, and had to restart some power plant. The weapons in the demo version were an assault rifle, shotgun, and flamethrower. The game was dark, and you had a flashlight with limited battery life as well (although I think it recharged over time).
Any idea what it was? I'd like to check it out again. I've been playing
Boxhead, and it's got me in the mood for something a bit more substantial than a flash game.

Next question, though: is it worth the cost? I always cringe at shareware kind of games, 'cause they're usually a little light on the content for the money.
