So for the past couple of days my wiimote has been acting all kinds of funny. It's been randomly turning off in the middle of play and sometimes won't come back on for half an hour. It isn't anything concrete as far as I can tell like turning in on it side makes it turn off, it just seems to decide it's done playing and shuts down. It's gotten to the point where I can't even use it anymore.
My question is, has anyone had any experience with messed up wii remotes? Anything like this? I'de like to think I haven't been that abusive to it, but I'm not the only one using so It might of been messed up then. Would there be a place I can get it fixed, or would it just be cheaper to buy a new one? Maybe there's a way to fix it myself? Any help would be awesome.
I'm having a similar problem. When it loads channels and the screen goes black for a second, usually the Wiimote lights blink, but sometimes they just stay off. Over at my friends house we had multiple Wiimotes hooked up and every once in a while mine would just turn off for no reason and I have to fuck around with it to get it to come back.
Is your Wiimote one of the first batches that came with the system when it launched? It could be a problem with earlier ones.
This may sound like a stupid question, but did you try putting a fresh pair of batteries into it?
Yeah, I did all the normal things you'de try to fix it without voiding the warranty. Anyways I'm just going to send it to nintendo to get fixed since I'm still under warranty. So, Solved I suppose. Thanks for the help anyways.
