just tried it
it lags horribly on my computer
this is a freakin' state of the art computer, can run tf2 and space marine smooth as butter, chugs horribly with minecraft
in fact, i haven't been on a single computer that's run it without lag
I honestly have no clue why you guys are having such issues. havent crashed once.
it lags when it generates chunks, but its only an issue if you're trying to fend off endercreepers. The rest of the time smooth as a babies bottom
I'm on a dual core 32 bit system, windows xp. 4GB ram but obviously im not even using all of it due to 32bit ness. I actually dont know if ive got the latest java, my java update prompts are broken as hell and never worked...

not from what i've experienced!
When you first walk around a map you are generating chunks constantly, it takes a bit for you to have the entire immediate area both generated and loaded into memory to the point where walking ~20 blocks in any direction wont start generating chunks.

Mizuumipet dog you've been eating my video gamehow could you eat my video gameRegistered Userregular
several months old, probably posted before, but WHO CARES
Found my first ncp village. Pretty freaking creepy. I'm gonna tear it all down. I love the idea but I don't like ghost towns apparently. I'll harvest it for materials.

The first town I came across creeped me out pretty bad, especially since at night it was dark and filled with monsters. Tore down all but two of the buildings. I kept like a blacksmith's shop and the biggest house which was right across the way. Gonna use it to set up a small compound for myself
I love that because i read what you typed, loaded the picture... "hmm i dont see what the problem ... *eyes scan slowly from left to right* everything seems to be in ord- OH My God!"
I got nothing for you now. Try again later.

ArtreusI'm a wizardAnd that looks fucked upRegistered Userregular
I checked it out on my iPad. I could barely see anything off to the right, so I zoomed in and BAM endermen
I'll give you my seed, gimme a moment. There's a village not far from the spawn point.
EDIT: -5155157429849901238
It's within 150 blocks.
EDIT2: I think I am crazy but I'm getting the feeling that the location of 0,0 keeps changing on me, which is why I didn't give you coordinates. I hope you find it.
The stronghold lulls you into believing it's just a bunch of boring rooms and hallways and then suddenly at the end you get libraries, secret treasure rooms and fountains! It gets the imagination going. Who built the strongholds? Why? What happened to them?

You're running minecraft like normal through the .exe? Is it not launching at all or is it stopping after a certain point?
