I am getting tired of trying ranked by myself, my elo has dropped alot and now I am finding it hard to carry myself up due to leavers and such. Had one game where two people said they where a premade and wanted bot together, as renekton and ashe. I went top as jarvan vs shen. After about 7 minutes they had lost their tower to the enemy team (They faced nidalee and gragas), and a short while after that renekton left the game. A handful of minutes later, so did ashe. I was about double shen's cs, but don't help much in a 3vs5.
Anyways, if anyone wants to play feel free to add me ingame. I play on the EUNE server and my summoner name is Irridan.

Coming back after not playing for awhile, good to see I haven't lost my Amumu touch.
Did blue, was in the middle of wolves when enemy level 2 Lee Sin comes charging in trying to gank me. I make it to the tower, he eats a tower hit and gives me first blood.
Go back, heal, continue my route. Lee Sin runs up again while he's 2 and I just finish red, so I'm 3 and change. Run him down, my Trynd comes from top lane along with enemy Morde, we kill Lee Sin. I hit 4 from the kill, learn Bandage and use it to kill Morde and save Trynd's life with 40HP left.
A little later while I still have red, Morde is pushed to the tower, walk up, Bandage, ult, run him down and kill him.
Ended the game 5/0/5 after a variety of tower dives (Amumu gives no fucks) and crushing ults. Felt kind of bad for them.
Don't personally much care for Level 2 or 3 Amumu ganks. Kind of relies on them being wounded and out of position from level 1-2 damage trades IME or assuming people are carrying Exhaust.
Call mid and get q spamming at base 3 times, get Dorians ring. I see an Ashe and (chick with big creature behind her) somehow I chase off the female hero, ashe chases me, tower kill first blood. So no I'm alone in the lane. Lvl 3 when Ashe comes back. Dead Ashe. Other character, dead.
I was either killing them or getting them low, and they'd have to run. At lvl 6 headed back for sorc boots and started building archangel staff. Continued to dominate lane and farm, along with timely ganks as I built my cap.
We had a leaver.
We won.
I went 19/0/1
Best part? After game an opponent telling me to get a life.

"chick with big creature behind her"?
The only champ I can think of that meets those qualifications is Annie, but she wouldn't have Tibbers at level 1.

That's pretty awesome.. but I'm not sure why both Ashe and Annie would be midding against you? That's a pretty bad idea.
Is anyone else around level 10 or below? Would you like to add me as a friend? I'm getting a bit sick of the random people I'm playing with. Some are NOT team players.
My Summoner name is The 21st Century.
Hope to see some friend invites, at least.
Not on my PC right now, but add me (deyur). I'm high 20's but happy to play games with whoever. I wouldn't mind having someone to make it worth playing support for.
Yeah, I just played a game where singed (the melee guy every ones been liking) and riot girl fought over mid.

She face-checks bushes to see both of their guys, who jump her. I step in, kill both. (Somehow)
She says 'pay more attention nub'
(I was in the first bush already, minions hadn't even spawned. She'd dropped Make it Rain on them, so it wasn't hard to finish them both off with Siphoning Strike, given that their Heimerdinger refused to flee.)

Fianlly, finally stopped the bleeding after a disastrous losing streak tonight. Ouch. So many fucking awful players, and so many of them playing tryhard champs. I swear, most of these guys must watch a high elo stream, think "imma be just like that omfg such rape" and proceed to lock-in with champions they've never played before ever.
Some of them seem like it's the first damn time they've even played the game (derp derp walk right up to Sion at level 2 and aggro the turret by meleeing him what a great idea derp derp)
There's no difference in the lanes themselves, but what they're near is important.
Generally you have a jungler, which leaves 4 people between 3 lanes.
Most big fights during the early laning phase of the game revolve around the dragon, which is why you have a 2 person lane bottom.
Mid lane tends to be a solo who is good at ganking, because they can take advantage of opportunities to kill people at top or bottom quite quickly.
Top is the lane furthest away from the early game action, so it tends to be someone who benefits from farming up levels and money and is lacklustre early.
^^^ Top solo needs to have a strong early game or they will lose the lane terrible against a strong laner. If you play Veigar for example, I will kill you with any character I play or deny you farm.
Top is a solo that is generally very sustainable. The reason for this is the distance from Dragon. Since killing top will at best get you a tower (and not always) people don't put a duo there.
Mid is an AP Carry that is someone who will snowball well. They're less sustainable but tend to be much more aggressive laners. You'll see Annie, Brand, etc. mid because they can gank any lane and the jungle incredibly well, and this offers a ton of map control. The reason they're not top is most tops are beefy enough to not die to the burst and then sustain after.
Bottom is the duo. The current trend is AD Carry support because of how safe it is and how effective it is mid-late game. Kill lanes are decent, but most nukers need farm and tend to fall behind. Bot is a duo because they're much less susceptible to a gank, and can support at dragon very easily. Other common option is to have a roamer who will setup kills across the map while having someone who can 1v2 well like Cho'gath bottom. It's risky versus Carry Support though.
Junglers gain exp and gold from neutral creeps. Most of them are aggressive at about 3-4 but very squishy early on. Junglers will setup early ganks and map control in most games.

So, this 'winning a teamfight' thing, let's talk about it. Specifically, let's go over what you can do after it.
Getting Baron after several kills is good! Their team is so weakened that you are often able to finish/pull off baron, kill them, and go on to win the game
Getting towers/inhibs is good! At higher levels the tower just doesn't do enough to their tank for you to win 3v5
Getting towers/inhibs and then going for baron is terrible and you lose because I will teleport on our ward there, stunkill your amumu, force you off the baron while our Jax leaps from behind to steal it, then we ace you and win the game before even amumu is back up
if he grabs a chalice or double rings then you've already won the lane.
Can you explain your reasoning for this? Chalice just seems to be the ideal item for him.

Almost finished with my 10 ranked games for the Kayle skin. And I have to say, I'm finding that ranked isn't the wretched hive of scum and villiany that I remembered. The rage hasn't been anywhere near as bad as my experience with normals recently. This is also very different from the first time I looked into ranked.
After winning 6 out of 8, I'm seriously re-considering my "normals only" stand. Though it could just be that I'm only 1300 ELO and moderate play is still pretty much the norm so no one can really rage as we're all pretty mediocre.
Who the fuck deliberately steals creeps, exp, and blue buff from their jungle at lvl1? Oh wait, the Brand on my team last game.
And then our Irelia left after one lost 4v4 fight.

I would have just gone into lane with him. Tell him deliberately fucking with each other is the new meta.

Cho against a full AD team is silly. Pure armor + max cooldown reduction.
Also, drive buy flash feasts are the best. Got 4 kills that way. SURPRISE NOM!
I too have discovered the love that is Cho. Going Cata into Force of Nature makes me essentially invincible around level 11 with the ability to instagib anyone with 2/3rds health left. I felt especially bad laning against Gentleman Cho'gath and killing him because I had ignite over his teleport.

Yeah, I'm not seeing how Kassadin does anything at all to WW. Warwick has higher base mana regen than Kassadin, and gains health on every Q->Q trade between them. Force pulse pushes the lane, letting WW just heal up with autoattacks. So unless there's some kind of strategy revolving around nether blade, I'm just not seeing how Kass wins. Unless you're just hoping on the jungler, because that can swing both ways.
Kassadin has 4 options, and all of them result in losing the lane.
1) Q on Warwick, try to melee last hit creeps. WW ends up sustaining himself on your flesh, and you lose out on life. Either you're forced out of farming, or you go back to base giving him farm/level advantage.
2) Q on Warwick, don't try to melee last hit creeps. Welp, WW will have to push the lane so at least he can't exp zone you, but you'll get zero last hits.
3) Q on creeps, try to melee last hit creeps. Basically ignore him while he gets free range to harass and farm. I mean, I guess it's okay assuming he doesn't just harass you out of lane, which he will if he's good. Go to #1.
4) Q on creeps, don't try to melee last hit creeps. You get some farm and exp, while he gets to freefarm. I guess it's not terrible considering the alternatives...
Edit: 9 minutes is 15 minion waves. If WW is at a 2-1 creep advantage he can easily buy an extra ring and still have more gold than you. Hell, at 3-1 he could buy a chalice and still out farm you if he's really hot at last hitting, not to mention chalice ain't a terrible item on him.

My issue with ranked was that when I tried it, the rage over what to play and who to play was over the top. At the time I had a fascination with Sivir. And some douche would be like "Not Sivir! GG all /afk". Then unless you were freakin' rolling the other team hard it was bitch bitch bitch. I found normals to much more laid back. Not just in character choices but in general attitude during a game.
But my last few ranked have turned that on its head. Definitely going to mix it up some more I think.
LTTP, but people around level 10 can/should add me as well (Karulytic).
Had my best game ever as Tristana last night, absolutely terrorized Ashe in mid. The highlight was her running to escape around trees at one point, and me blind rocket jumping over the trees and landing on her head. Wah Wah. Went 15/2/6 overall.
I just love Tristana so much. Huge damage just from AD, and I can almost hear the screams of rage when they think they finally have me and I rocket jump to safety. Mmm....rage....
Look, just because you are bad with Kassadin, doesnt mean he loses to Warwick in lane. He easily beats him, just like Vlad. Get that healy shit out of my lane.

I think he means overall, assuming both folks are equally matched in skill, WW would win out. I'm not claiming to be amazing with either of them, but I think I'm competent enough to make an educated examination, and I don't think Kass could beat WW in lane, again, assuming both players are of equal skill level.
Though, having said that, I can't imagine WW exactly dominating Kassadin, Just roughing him up a bit 'til Kass can ult away.
