I needed to bring my gaming PC to the shop, but I paid for a booster I need to take advantage of! So I'm installing LoL on my old laptop via the retail disc to speed up the process, but it's taking forever to update. I could use some help:
It's stuck on "updating LoL Runtime - .06 MB Remaining, at 8KB per second." What could be holding up this installation? It says downloading is 100% complete...

How does one deal with Orinna's absurd harassment range in mid?
Things I've tried include a boots + health pots start, MR cloak + health pots start, or just all health pots. She burns through mana like crazy early though, so it might just be a matter of baiting her ball until she's oom. No doubt, a good one is a miserable mid to go up against.
In other news, nothing I love more than forcing a 30 min 4-0 surrender from an enemy team who's Teemo spent the whole lane phase shit talking. Yeah dude, you're laning with a good Cass...of course it's going to be easy mode. Games like that are part of why I love playing Sona, all you need are boots 1 and a tear and you can just buy wards and oracles rest of the game to shut that mouthy fucker up.

he just never stops getting better. He can dash in, kill an AP carry, and run away and come back in a few seconds with near full health again. Fuck him.
I only have 2 ranked games, and I was thinking of finishing out my other 8 placement matches, and getting that Kayle skin at the end of the season. Suggestions for champs I cna get away with using in those placement matches? I know I cna do fine with Rumble if he's not banned.

Philo, Triforce, Merc or Berserker boots, then build tanky accordingly either selling your Philo or building it into something else. Throwing in an attack speed item in there like Wit's End is also a plus.
just quite possibly played the best solo queue possible in this game.
laned top with soraka against a solo morde. the soraka proceeds to completely and utterly shut down morde while I farm my balls off. Like, when i say shut down, I mean completely and utterly fucked for the rest of the game. me and soraka were 7 when he was five. she had a single creep kill when I had 100+. Easily the best soraka I have ever had the pleasure to see. Mid corki is just doing okay against their cait, and bottom garen is crushing. I farm to a level that i thought not possible (had 6k gold to spend at one point) and proceed to go super ap gragas, and we tear them part for half an hour, it was glorious. and I have to say, mad props to the other team for not even starting a surrender vote, even though it was like 30-4 and they had 1 tower and we were in their base.
And I have to say, they could nerf the shit out of gragas ap ratios, and he'd still be a beast simply for the disruption his ult causes. single handedly saved a few lives and cost them many.

Leona is the first champion I have ever played where I at some point really wanted to get a Soul Shroud, so I get it on her sometimes. Nice for being cheap with cheap components that are nice enough on their own.
I've been doing regrowth pendant and health potion to start, with philosopher's stone and boots being the first buy. Usually Ionian boots. From there I usually get a kindlegem. From there it's sometimes work to Soul Shroud, sometimes make the quick Shurelia's, sometimes glacial shroud/magic/health resist item.
A thing I want to try is philosopher's stone, boots, eleisa's miracle and second philosopher's stone, then kindlegem. Maybe Spirit Visage.
Honestly, something like Glacial Shroud is usually tempting, but she gets such amazing resistances from leveled W that I really want health+cooldowns more than resistances. Soul Shroud is usually so underwhelming, but it's like the only thing that actually fits so it's appealing. And stacking the health regen would make Spirit Visage a little more appealing too.
Warmog's would be sooooooo fun to buy on her if she could farm enough to buy it or farm enough to charge it : (
But yeah, Ionian boots, Miracle, Reverie, Soul Shroud, Force of Nature, Spirit Visage. Make my trolling dreams come true.
I need to buy health regen quintessences now and they are so expensive : (

Just tried Kennen vs Brand mid. Got totally stomped on. Just couldn't out harass him, kept losing out on damage -_-
Gonna try Orianna next, anyone has a good idea about how I should play her?
Yeah, I had that problem before too with my Kennen vs a Brand in mid. He kept nailing me with his stun combo that only takes 2 abilities, while my stun combo needed 3. Also became a big problem once he could push waves with safety while Kennen needs to melee charge to clear a wave.
