Looking for titles of teen novels. (Not current releases)

Dont really know how to phrase the title but here is what I am looking for:

First Title:

There was a Young Adult horror novel I read when I was younger that involved virtual reality/video games and the devil. As the protagonist got drawn further into gaming the satanic/demonic forces were getting stronger, and the final battle was fought inside the video game against the head demon/Satan. I dont have more details then that but it has stuck with me into adulthood and would like to know the title.

Second Title:

Plot revolves around a group of teens(children?) that are also involved in virtual reality. Involves getting training and "surviving" in a hostile world/planet. As the group gets better then get to unlock more levels and the safety guards that have been protecting them from falls and injury start to come off. At the end of the book, the last "level" actually ends up being a planet that they have been shipped to, and their "game playing" was really just training for setting up a colony.

Any help?

Even if you dont know the titles. maybe someone can point me in the right direction to where I could ask this question? Does Amazon have a question section regarding books? Some website that I am not aware of?

Wish I could help Island. I know I've read the first one. A store burns down then opens the next week as an arcade with games that noone's ever heard of. I remember the kids who played in the arcade went nuts and reenacted the violent video games in real life (I remember one kid stealing a car and running down neighborhood kids, while another beat someone with a sledgehammer). The main character has a specific favorite that always seems to be open when he's there, eventually he starts seeing images of the school bullies rendered as enemies in the game. Eventually, he decides to challeng Satan himself (who was running the arcade) to a virtual reality duel, then created a virtual copy of the armor of god to kick Satan's ass. I remember it had some horribly generic title that's going to make it a bitch to search for; Dark Arcade, Hellcade, something along those lines (I'm 99% certain it had "arcade" in the title). Man, I can remember so many stupid details about that book, but for the life of me I can't remember the title.

Damnit, this is gonna bug the crap outta me now.

Edit: you might try asking here: http://askville.amazon.com/Index.do
Don't know if they'll be any help though.

Awesome I will check out the link. And yes that is exactly the book. I'm glad that I am not crazy and that these books have actually existed.

Rikushix, I keep thinking it was a Judy Blume book but cant find it.

The first book is called Game over by Locke, Joseph.

"Over the centuries, mankind has tried many ways of combating the forces of evil...prayer, fasting, good works and so on. Up until Doom, no one seemed to have thought about the double-barrel shotgun. Eat leaden death, demon..."

I'm sure the second book isn't Tunnel in the Sky, but it is probably similar and you may enjoy reading it.

He's a boy. He used his super secret librarian database for that shit. I love being married to a librarian.

Hmmmn very similar in its set up. That book sounds interesting.

I also found another young adult novel that I had been looking for by accident while searching for these other ones. (Singularity by William Sleator.)

It's very weird how these books made enough of an impression on me that I remember them years later.

If you liked Game Over you should perhaps try Space Demons by Gillian Rubenstein.

The first two were a lot of fun with a similar theme.

Most excellent. You are also a scholar and a gentleman(woman). I will be purchasing this books ASAP. Thanks all for you help.

Space Demons also looks interesting and will investigate further.

    Once again, thanks!

Read your forums here perhaps someone can help!
Same scenario, I read a book as a young boy about a Computer Video game and the Devil. Slightly different than Game Over. Similarily in this story a young boy visits a store and purchases a video game. Days later he realizes the store where he purchased the game no longer exists. In stead of an aracade in this novel the boy takes the computer game home and finds himself playing it more and more and becoming addicted and possessed at the same time. I can't remember the ending and I would love to find and read this story again.
    Anyone??
