I am a freelance battlefield journalist working in Libya // UXO problems

As the thread title says I am a freelance battlefield journalist currently covering the Dafnia front of the Libyan Civil War. There is a major UXO problem in the city and hoardes of children who have nothing better to do than play in the street. The current state of 'universal language' cartoon UXO posters is dated and doesn't contain the types of munitions that you'd find in this area. I'm looking for a cartoonist willing to donate a little time and their work to remedy this situation.

I have photographs of the current poster as well as images of all the types of common UXO to be found in the city. Also pictures of children playing with pieces of UXO completely oblivious to what it means. The orange MAT-120 arming chute causes terror on the faces of adults but children reach for the bright spinny. They do get cartoons and they do understand wagging the finger and onomatopoeia.

Thank you in advance.

Holy shit. Have you contacted the major de-mining groups? MAG, MAT etc? I'd be surprised if they didn't have something, even as a stop gap? UNICEF often does this stuff too.

If you're looking for help from the creators of Penny Arcade, they never read the forums and you're best off emailing them or Robert Khoo directly if you want their attention.

If you're looking to commission something (or ask for a donation of time from an artist), you should PM an Artist's Corner mod and ask permission to make a post or thread there.

H/A isn't really used to request a service, though, and not too many of the artists wander over this way regularly.

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
