i don't have network/cable, so i'm consistently behind the curve on shows. i got briefly obsessed with SYTYCD a couple years ago, mainly due to these two routines. ... i have no idea if i'm being totally cliche in these choices.

It would've gone over better had they mentioned they used preexisting choreography instead of letting the judges go on and on about how well planned out the whole thing was. But they didn't. Until the show aired, and loads of dancers simultaneously went, "...wait a minute..."

yeah using someone else's choreo is obviously not that big a deal for a show where none of the dancers do their own stuff, it's just that they didn't do it with permission that got people in a tizzy

i remember lil o from the auditions! really mad him and professor lock didn't make the top 20 this season, especially considering how blah hiphop has been this season

also remember hero and patty anne, two female hiphop dancers that shoulda made it in place of random contemporary girl number whatever

they've had female hiphop dancers on the show, but i don't recall any female breakers or lockers and whatnot throughout the season, despite having a bunch of awesome ones try out

tadd is amazing, but wadi was barely given time to show his stuff and random white dude hiphopper was kinda terrible in other genres. also the hiphop routines this season have been downright turrible, this past week being the exception (kinda dug comfort/tadd and sasha/twitch was everything i was hoping for with them two)
