Just built a new computer. I had to RMA the mobo but now I have it up and running. Except one part. It crashes after a couple minutes when playing a game.
Things I have tried
1: Memtesting the ram, no errors
2: trying each stick by themselves
3: updating drivers
4: Temps are not high
Still crashes. One thing I did notice though was that the HDD would make a high pitch noise like it was starting, then it would go silent. Then it would repeat that a couple times
just before the blue screen appeared. So after that
1: I did a chk dsk and it found a few errors. Still crashes afterwards
2: Noticed the game will play for about 30 seconds after the HDD turns off completely.
3: Doesn't seem to crash out of games
So is it a bad HDD, PSU, GPU, or software?

And you took out the old HDD and reinstalled the OS clean on the new one?

I replaced the PSU and it seems to be working when I run tech demos. I'm reinstalling a few games to see if they work.
Also magus, the boobs are there because thats where I put them. You may also not one to click my sig, as there are lots more there too.
I think he's saying you should possibly put a NSFW caveat on links when they go to places where there's nudity.
But hey, bonus that it's not the HDD. You've got a secondary HDD now.
He would be correct.
