Wiiminder is a small, but useful application that allows for tabbed browsing, tabbed bookmarking, integrated search, all on the Wii. No registration required.

Create and manage bookmarks, select bookmarks to be automatically opened in new tabs, listen to music while you surf, and more.

You can view a video by clicking the link below in a normal browser, or visit in your Wii browser for the full experience.

Yeah, all the Wii-related sites announced it.

At least, all the ones that count.

    ZING!

I am using it now and it seems to be pretty buggy and ultimately useless. Whenever I click a link on a website, I lose all my tabs and have to go back to wiiminder.com to start over.

As if enough of the screen wasn't taken up by the interface already.

So, will this become irrelevant and outdated 5 months from now like Warp Pipe?

This is happening because you are clicking links that are opening in a new window, hence the loss of tabs.

I'm looking forward to Opera's final Internet Channel. Let's hope the update is substantial. This was a small proof of concept project, nothing more.

The final Internet Channel is supposed to come out next month, no? Hopefully it features tabbed browsing, and the ability to enable pop-ups (into new tabs, at least) as some sites require it.

What are the chances of getting java apps running on Wii?
