If you could do anything, anything at all, what would you do?

Me? I've been thinking about this a bunch lately. Like, what is it, given perfect circumstances, what is it I would want out of life?

Right now, I think if I could do anything I wanted, I'd have a little VW microbus with a camper poptop and I'd just spend a year or two or ten just driving down through America and Mexico and Central and South America, surfing and being a nomad and exploring and seeing the world and meeting people and having adventures. No job, no mortgage, no responsibility other then just going around doing whatever I wanted and living by whim, exploring old Aztec pyramids and learning spanish and stuff. Writing and filming stuff and drawing.

What about you? What is it that would be your perfect existence?

I am very seriously of the idea, at the moment, that if I finish school and spend the next few years working my ass off putting money away and paying down loans, I could make this thing happen. I could just get a bus and a surfboard and have enough money to at least pay for gas and get the fuck out of America for a while.

I worked at a museum for a year and a half. It was, for the most part, a whole hell of a lot of fun. I'd recommend it.

I guess I'm just of the age and mindset that I don't expect a career of any kind to make me happy. Don't get me wrong, I know the value of having a job you love, but work isn't going to fulfill my life, work is going to allow me the means to do the things in life I find fulfilling. Doing work I love makes it bearable.

I would build my own personal library.

Tons of books, comfortable chairs, plenty of windows to let in sun. The windows would overlook a nice little garden outside. Maybe a rock garden?

An attached personal theater to watch movies in would be nice.

Well, if we're including traveling around by boat and the diving, that shit gets pretty expensive to maintain.
