I dunno why you guys are still not talking about tipping in the tipping thread when we just got chat closed for treehousing and being snarky at each other in it.

Why do you hate chat? Your mothers like chat. Why do you disrespect your mothers so?

You know...I haven't seen any of those three movies yet.

I really should. Hard Boiled is Chow Yun Fat, right? Is that a John Woo film? Shoot 'em Up, I know, is Clive Owen and Monica Bellucci. And The Expendibles was the one with Bruce Willis, Sylverster Stallone, and like a million other actors?

Yeah Hard Boiled is Woo's best movie and it stars CYF. It was his farwell to hong kong cinema and he went out with a bang. If you haven't seen it, the Killer is another fantastic Woo movie also starring CYF.

there's no substitute for buckling down and not making excuses. i know you claim the 'macho' advice doesn't help you- but every second you consider, regard, evaluate, and assay, you're not writing. move your fingers across the keyboard and don't stop.

    Only seen it once.

    Didn't really like it.

    I think Tarantino's massively overrated.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

EDIT: You should see Reservoir Dogs, nerd. It is a very good movie. The best thing tarantino has done if you ask me.

Tree housing means you are being exlcusive, or exlcuding others from participating in your conversations. Like how Chat would have subtopics outside of D&D about D&D threads because we don't post with "those" people.

Go find where your internet enters the house or your PC and pull it out.

    Then write things.

Carrot, what if you take an hour or so just thinking of ideas, jotting down bullet points of the highlights, then go in later and flesh them out?

Tarantino movies are such a mixed bag. The man writes and directs some of the best scenes in movie history, but he doesn't pay enough attention in making them into a flowing story. Reservoir Dogs, his first movie, is actually the second best in this regard, because of it's one room nature. Jackie Brown is the bets overall story, but then again he didn't write that, just adapt it.
