In the market for a new laptop

I think the title sums everything up nicely, but here are some specifics:
-I want to get a gaming laptop for more casual gaming. My current one is significantly lacking in the department and can run Guild Wars but not very well, which saddens me greatly. Ideally the new one could run Guild Wars 2 (and therefore all of my other games).
-I love the really stylized/colorful looking laptops (like so: http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Dandilion-Breeze-15.6-Laptop-Case-and-Mouse-Bundle/16641476 ) but so far I have found very few (re: none) high performance laptops that come in anything but red, blue, black or grey. If that laptop I linked wasn't only slightly better than my current, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat.
-My budget is $1000

If anyone could give me some handy advice on laptop hunting I'd greatly appreciate it!

What games do you want to play? Specs on your current laptop?

A serious gaming laptop for $1000 is gonna be tough, can you go any higher?

I just want to be able to play Guild Wars 2 when it finally arrives.
    My specs are:
    Processor: AMD turion(tm) 64 X2 mobile technology TL-60 2.00GHz
    RAM: 2.37GB usable
    32-bit OS
    ATI Radeon X1270

Wait until the game you want to play comes out. We have no way of knowing what the final system requirements for GW2 will be and even if there's a computer out now that'll play it easily, it will most certainly be much cheaper by the time the game comes out.

If that's all you want, I agree with MushroomStick. Given that you're looking at another six months until you actually need to upgrade, you could get the same computer for 10-15% less than you'll get it right now. Also, you might have a slightly larger budget.

I understand the "money burning a hole in my pocket" thing, but in this case there are real benefits to waiting.
