So, for whatever reason I'm feeling the urge to learn something new and be a bit creative. I've decided that I'm going to learn to do some (basic) animation on the PC. I've always wanted to do something like this, but just don't know where to start. I'm looking for some really simple (preferably free) software that would allow me to make some basic puppets and move them around backgrounds, real simplistic stuff. I'm sure I can find some software to voice over them later, or just add captions. Any software or tutorial suggestions would be great. I use Windows XP if that makes a difference.
