Dude, you have no idea where they are going with this.
Great assumption.
Assumption, nothing. If the Bleed is the space outside the Source Wall, and all the 52+Qward are connected by the Source Wall (i.e., now, by the Bleed), then that explicitly and entirely contradicts the Wildstorm use of the Bleed to connect with a literally infinite number of parallel worlds. Countless Wildstorm plotlines have revolved around the Bleed connective such a multitude (e.g. almost any Authority arc, etc.).
So, the ONLY two options - and these are literally the only two - are that the interview is mistaken, and the Bleed is not that connecting space, or that all of Wildstorm continuity has been radically revamped, and it will no longer include the infinite worlds in its history.
So we're back at infinite worlds, OR, Wildstorm is going to have to rewrite every page of its history, since all its major groups travelled to multiple parallel worlds repeatedly. Basically none of the character histories will make any sense, now.

I repeat: great job, editorial.
Did you...just miss Worldstorm entirely?
No, I'm aware of their reboot, and I'm also aware that the implication is that the Bleed would still connect an infinite variety of earths. In fact, I could swear that's already been demonstrated back when Ion was meeting with Monarch (although I may be mistaken, I don't have that issue handy.)
Why is Piper quivering in the background there? It makes him look like a complete wuss instead of a conscientious objector.
Because he didn't actually want to kill the Flash. Piper is still a good guy, he was with the Rogues for his own secret agenda that I don't think was ever really revealed

Because he's a gay, and the gays always hunch their shoulders and cover their mouths with their hands when something dramatic happens. Their delicate constitutions can't withstand the stress.
And those pages look like either Palmiotti's inking, Brad Walker's pencils, or both. I'm basing this off their work on the Secret Six mini-series, which looks very similar. If not, someone else has managed to discover the secret to create thoroughly mediocre artwork and still get published in a high profile book.
Well, fortunately they'll look a bit better (not that much, obviously) once printed. I don't know why DC is sending Newsarama these giant, shitty resolution scans of Countdown.

Didio kind of sort of, put the kibosh on a lot of multiverse stories.
IGN Comics: Wildstorm has been revealed as one piece of the Multiverse. Will there be other comics or entire lines dedicated to the Multiverse concept?
DiDio: There will be stories that play in and out of the Multiverse, but by no means stories about the Multiverse. That means characters will cross throughout there, but it's more about the characters that are moving in and out than it is about actual event of the Multiverse itself or the different universes themselves.
IGN Comics: So some will stay outside for fans that don't want to be in there?
DiDio: Yeah, I would say more stay out than go in. We're going to hold this pretty tight. The whole idea isn't, "Oh my God! I can't wait! Here's that Huntress of Earth-2 book that I couldn't wait to have!" or the Captain Marvel of Earth-5. That's not what this is about and you'll never see series, maybe with the exception of one, that have to deal with any particular Multiverse world.
This bugs me too, just because Morrison, upon his exit interview when he completed 52, was really jazzed up about the concept, saying something that's pretty much the exact opposite of Didio. Morrison was all about the possibilities inherent in the multiverse (a book about the classic Captain Marvel, or the Charlton Earth's Question, and so on and so forth), but Didio seems to be more of the mindset that those worlds only exist to clash/interact with New Earth's characters. Which is lame, seeing as how I was dying for a book with the pulpy, gun-wielding Dan Garrett teaming up with the classic Question.
Man, I would kill for a Marvel Comic Presents-esque anthology title with different Multiverse stories.
God yes. And then the ones that get the most response could get spun into minis and then ongoings. Hell, they already have the Classified group. Why not a 52: Classified book?
What's the point of having a multiverse if you aren't going to use it?
Well, they are going to use it. But for events and special crossovers. What he means is there wont be seperate monthlies based entirely on one of those seperate earths.

what bugs me about bart's death is that he didn't get to do anything as the flash
I didn't realize many thought that there would be all these new series popping up..
"Earth 25 Presents..." etc..
I always figured it would be kept on a short leash. Maybe a ways down the line a new book here and there.
We don't need 20 new series or anything, Hell, 1 book would do. As I said, an anthology title showing the different universes, and if a series gets enough fan response it could branch out further.
Hell, Marvel and DC used to have books like that all the time.
what bugs me about bart's death is that he didn't get to do anything as the flash
he'll go down in history as "the worst flash"
Restored the Speed Force?
Kept the red and yellow costume warm for Wally?
ENDED THE INSIDEOUS THREAT OF THE DEADLY GRIFFON
Gah. Had him completely erased from my mind too.
Thanks.

i was reading Countdown in the car and I was at Bart's funeral and my dad turned on the radio and Puff Daddy - I'll Be Missing You came on and I laughed
if it's dealing with the same heroes, what's the point?
Yeah, I mean who the fuck cares if the Charlton Earth is there if it's just there so a random character can stop by and say, "wow things here aren't like new earth at all okay bye now!"
Morrison himself said that he had an extensive plan/pitch for an Earth 10 book. And I'm sure there are tons of writers and fans that are excited about the idea of a character that was previously dead/altered/off limits suddenly being freed up for new, in-continuity stories. Marvel has proven that a small, self-contained line of books can work very well, and DC has done the same with their iconic, back-to-basics approach on the All Star titles. The 52 Earths offer the chance to mash these two concepts together, giving fans and creators what they want, while still maintaining the core continuity's individuality and changing status quo. It's a total have your cake and eat it too situation.
Just give me the fucking cake DC.
Last I checked DC's market share was 30% compared to Marvel's 50% too, so why they're turning their backs on what's basically a sure thing, given the right amount of hype and the correct creative team, is completely beyond me. I mean, the 52 team ended that book on such a strong, positive note, filled with promises of things to come. And DC's editorial team basically stuck their thumbs up their collective asses and handed the reigns off to the chuckleheads that are currently turning Countdown into a critical and commercial failure.

Eh, whatever.
Damn it, DC. There was all this good buzz coming off of 52 and they're slowly killing it. First the spin-offs series are coming way later when the heat has died down, then Countdown turns out to be pretty mediocre, then the multiverse isn't going to allow the kind of possibilities we were hoping for.

Not to mention that Geoff Johns said that time travel would play a bigger part in the Booster Gold series than the multiverse.
It's already started in All New Atom #13, which you should buy not only because it's a good book, but for the goofy alien dialect.
