I'm going to be honest, that sounds awesome. It reminds me of Mr. Immortal (who I love).

It's kind of similar, except he gains a new superpower after each death.
Also it is less comedic and more of a supernatural mystery. It does have its brilliant moments of black comedy though.
Yeah but they like being able to go wild and rarely work at the big two(the only place where they could realistically be told no) unless they are given a lot of leeway
I mean Ellis' Secret Avengers is apparently ignoring everything that is going on in the Marvel Universe and just him telling stories. Which is fine, if a bit odd.
And Ennis is pretty much restricted to the MAX Universe nowadays because he cannot write a script that doesn't have the word fuck in it.
man blank, have you read ennis' war stories? it is spectacular! love the short 3 issue storyline format it does, and the stories have been excellent, if a bit over-the-top violent, but its war, dangit

I love Ennis' war books!
The man can write great stories when they don't involve superheroes. His Punisher/Fury series are amazing and his various war anthologies equally.
But for some reason he thinks the best thing to do is write series where NotIron Man is a serial rapist who blacks out and rapes his own team mates mid-flight
Man I'm still weirded out by this reboot thing. Cyborg as a founding member of the JL? Booster Gold being serious face? And did Barbra Gorden get unparalysed or something?

Apparently.
Somehow.
Really, a lot of it is in "Not a lick of sense" territory right now.

Really
in a world where there is a half-man half-robot dude, and Batman himself has recovered from paralysis
Barbara Gordon getting out of the wheelchair is totally nonsensical?
Plus, everyone forgets that Simone had already been building up to it in BoP. Barbs had been regaining movement in toes and the such off and on for years.

Yeah, Cyborg is now a JL Founder, Booster has been a pretty serious(albeit goofy at times) hero since like 2006 and like I said, Babs getting unparalyzed is hardly crazy in the DCU

True. But I guess I would prefer a more 'comic' reason. Like robot legs. or Magic. or space power. Or magic space powered robot legs.

DC GIVE ME MORE HITMAN
Ennis has become more of a shithead than he used to be
He can still nail the shit out of that character and that world
oh my god
I'm going to be honest, that sounds awesome. It reminds me of Mr. Immortal (who I love).
he has done a lot of awful, awful things since then
Also it is less comedic and more of a supernatural mystery. It does have its brilliant moments of black comedy though.
i still say ennis could do it
Are there demons in there? I don't know!
But the dude has turned into a caricature of his former self
it is a lot like ellis
those two need people to tell them no

What about Harrison Oogar, the Caveman of Wall Street?
dudes are allowed not to be brilliant forever
every time he does, he has new ones
he has notoriously bad taste in comics
Apparently a bunch of Steelers players are being extras in the movie.
Maybe Batman will punch Ben Roethlisberger.
Then I might actually go see it.
