PAX is soon upon us. If you're in northern California and would like to hang out with other PAXers to talk games, compare notes on what to see and do at PAX and thereabouts, get a jump on the button trade, etc., come join us for stories and face stuffing. Unless there are objections, I propose using the same time and place as last year.
I'm so glad. I'm actually thinking we should hold every fifth one in Chico just out of respect for how much driving you, Von Wolf, and any other Chico folks have to do.

I was supposed to go to The Boyfriend's step-brother's wedding; but he decided not to and failed to tell me until just five minutes ago. ~_~; ANYWHO! So not missing this! And once again, it'll just be sweet and insane lil' me.

I ran into Vonxwolfenstein a few weeks ago and unfortunately she told me she won't be going to PAX this year. My group is mostly still intact though.
@LordFizzlebeef I've never met anyone else from Chico on the forums. Is this your first PAX? Maybe we can have a mini meetup. It's always cool to meet people before and then run into each other at the con.
@Cerrato0426 This will be my second PAX. I'm going through a somewhat anti-social phase at the moment but would not be opposed to a mini-meetup for chico folks. Tues/Wed are safe days. Late afternoon or very early morning.
Well, in that case, if anyone's coming from Monterey (or South of Salinas on the 101), that's where I be. Though I guess that puts me on the extreme lower end of the bay area.
I could also get to Santa Cruz, and carpool from there, if needed.

Hotel bound on PAX Saturday,
I exclaimed "Khoo is my Sensei!"
So if memes make great shirts,
And Pod Six is Jerks,
Then Moe, Khoo and I had our day.

I was not aware of this event last year or I would have come down too! Its a bit of a drive from where I'm at but I will try to make it I think!
If I could toss my two cents in I would be behind moving it to Chico, about an hour closer for those of us in the Rural North East of Cali.
Well then you should be happy to know that I called to make sure the restaurant exists and isn't reserved for next Saturday. Your shift trading or other required weaseling will not be in vain.
I'm probably going to be really hung over, but I will still make an effort to see everyone on Saturday! Historically have you guys done anything afterwards, or is it just meet up, cram pizza in face, disperse?

Talk. Cram. Talk. Talk. Talk. More cram. Oh! Talk.
If you didn't notice, we talk a lot before during and after.

So maybe this is a bit weird since I don't know any of you but I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me a ride. My roommate who was going to go with me is going out of town and it looks like the bus is going to be a pain in the ass and kind of expensive. If your willing just PM me. If not I will try to find my way there anyway.
You are PMed. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. The best part of PAX is spending time with gamers, and it's always great to start that part early. Also, since there was a miscommunication with PureButtons, I'll have a special, very limited edition of my 2011 design for anyone who wants one.

I, too, shall be bringing a handful of my regular trading buttons. My bonus buttons for this year requires you to play a round of the Pokemanz with me...be it of the Pokémon League challenge kind or casual.

Thanks for coming out everyone. It was a smaller group this year, but it was still nice. The LoL folks talked shop. We got to see some cool pictures of cosplay and fallout glitches, plus an art portfolio. Game retail war stories were compared. And of course we talked about games and PAX (and the weird cartoons they were running on Boomerang).
I had a great time and I'm glad I met a few new faces. It was a little smaller this year, but I think that really let us keep a group discussion going a little better. I'd like to thank Blain for organizing (and grabbing my bill!). Hope to see all of you at PAX.

@LordFizzlebeef Maybe next year, or maybe you and some of the Chico folks could organize an additional meet?

@yanthrax: It's totally okay. Friends, significant others, etc. are welcome.
