So last night I got board and made my apartment in sketch-up. I just took the floor plans from my apartment's website and downloaded all the bits from the online warehouse.
Thinking of making this a game level for something really small, like a bug simulator or something. Any ideas...
Plus I can put my monitor on the ground and browse the internet from my bed without a laptop, thus fulfilling my long-held dream of being a lazy piece of shit even harder.
Not one, but two desks... and yet you sleep on a mattress on the floor.
I know, One of the reasons why I did this in the first place was because I wanted to rearrange my apartment to try and find some room. I may have to get rid of the mattress and replace it with a bunch of heavy fold-out blankets, or maybe a fold-out piece of furniture

What? No. Replace the two desks with one that can accommodate your computer and your piano, and get a real bed. A decent night's sleep makes a world of difference to your day, and ladies much prefer boning on a real bed to some pile of blankets on the floor.

Wait, why are apartments that tiny in fucking Wisconsin? Central Manhattan I could understand, but in the cheese state?
I hope your rent is like $200/month, utilities included.

I had my matress on the floor for a while before I put my bed frame together. It is nice. Having storage space under your bed is also nice though
I think my bathroom may be bigger than that. Seriously, why would anyone live in something like that?
This is a really dumb question.
Not really.
If it's a question of finances, surely there's other places (ie: states or whatever) that have lower housing prices?
Personally, I'd rather get paid less and live in the arse end of nowhere if it meant I wouldn't have to live in a tiny box. But I guess that's just me and since it comes down to personal preference I was genuinely interested in why anyone would want to live in a place like that.
Hence the question. And your really dumb response.
We call places that small efficiency apts where I am.
Seems like a good deal if you don't need a ton of space and want to save money.
My apartment is almost 1000 sq. ft. and I pay between $650-750 a month on rent and utilities depending on the time of year. But I live in what I consider to be a dying blue collar city between Dayton and Cincinnati. The cheapness comes with it's own problems. Good thing I am a cheapskate in many regards.
can you put the microwave underneath the sink? It is blocking off valuable storage above your fridge. Can you take your closet doors off? It looks difficult to open your closet while they are so close to your piano desk. Can you hang the bicycle on the wall somewhere? Do you really need three garbage cans, or are those something else? Trying to find space in your apartment is like a tiny intricate tetris puzzle it is fun.

Where do you sleep?
I assume the white box is the bed.
What spring does with the cherry trees.

we also talk about other random shit and clown upon each other
So the human model in those models is 4 feet tall?

What's the square footage of you apartment?
or you could get a real bed
something from IKEA, maybe
In Norway
18 square meters, which google tells me is 193.75 square feet
I'm thankful my bathroom isn't a part of that

This is a really dumb question.
in part because i'd spend more time outside, in part because i tend to hole up in small sections of bigger places
maybe needs some extra counter space, though
so uh

I'm not computer savvy here how will a reproduction of your apartment help with that
unless you mean something like a roach or a house fly
but that would be weird
wouldn't it?
not really, airfix dogfighter wass the shit
I think he meant a game simulating life as a bug. Or something.

Does that room cost you more than $50/mo?
