But generally you need specific T3 runes to be able to survive

The thing is that Poppy is so very dependent upon positioning that the extra passive speed can really help out. Getting E/Q off is great, getting an E-stun/Q can be a game changer. Having the extra passive speed for when W is on CD can make the difference between landing your E stun or not.
I run Poppy with Flash, and I build Boots of Swiftness + Triforce on her for mobility.
There is no significant amount of extra utility I gain from 3% more base speed; if I can't find a good position with the goods I've already got, an extra 11 or so MS isn't going to make the difference in most cases. It's just, well, excess.
I'm going to have the chance to play him on a friend's account in an hour, it seems like he'd do well with Attack Speed and Mana, besides being a tank and AP champ.

So, before the servers went down and I crashed last night, I made a custom bot game to try to learn jungling with Nocturne. This shit is HARD. I'm looking at a Nocturne guide on solomid, but I feel like I'm missing something more essential. Are there any really really basic jungling guides that apply to all classes? Just basic stuff you should know before you even start jungling.
Try nanu? In a bot game. I've been juggling with him since lvl 6 in those. Go smite. Start at golems. Buy cloth X 5 pots.
Smite to start, auto attack, Q, first golem dead. Kill 2nd. Level. Get W. Go kill wolves, starting with Q on big wolf. Now go to wraiths. Smite big wraith. Kill rest. Should be lvl 3 or almost. Go to enemy jungle an kill wolves/golems. At this point you should be able to take blue and have no problems jungling.
Maybe not all that efficient, but it's bots, and you now have 2 solo champs.

I had many of comments to make, but being new to the series after the hbo series, and getting into the books, every comment was spoilerish. And if you've watched the series, well, I had the end of episode 9 and 10 spoiled for me in week 2 because of the HBO thread.

Doesn't seem like it to me. His AP ratios seem to be underwhelming, and his base AD is insanely high. Feels like if you build pure AP like a mage you are missing out with him, and thats the only way he would benefit from lichbane. Sheen and Triforce seem so much better with thier benefit.
I really feel like even with all those AP ratios he plays better with AD. You are going to be meleeing a lot if you ever want to do any significant damage, and a fairly small portion of Q comes from AP. E is a decent nuke, but thats it. The shield doesn't seem worth building AP either.
But with that claw slow and that shields speed boost and massive attack speed, it would seem like thats best. Plus I misremembered the passive and thought it was on ability use. Its on auto attack, and that means attack speed is basically CDR on him.
Dunno, seems like they were purposely trying to make him viable with a lot of different builds. The AOE potential combined with his absurdly high base HP might even make him a good tank.

Laning she was backed up by Jana, she went back at 9 to buy her stuff, and then her spear was being chucked through walls taking half my health away and dear gods it's a lion get in the car but the lion is throwing spears and aarrrrgh I ded.
Lane was me (wukong) and Sivir against Jana and Nidalee. No deaths til level 7, then ganked by trist and brand, then their team walked all over our team until we surrendered.

Turned out he was fucking awesome and saved our asses more than a couple times. Guess it was a matter of english not being his first language, not him being 11 years old.

So lesson learned on patch night. Start up the game and check for a que 3 freaking hours before I actually intend on playing because for some reason que's break 1 day every 2 weeks. I really can't believe their traffic is THAT much higher once every 14 days.
