Not pertaining to the last game (more the one before), I kind of think it is very odd that an early in-base third orbital command can actually make you more resilient to aggression if its timed right.
Its definitely a very weird concept that results from the sheer power of the mule. Even dropping those 20 SCVs to banelings did not outright put him hugely behind since you can recharge your economy so quickly with the extra mule.
Did that thing happen where a Terran makes 4-5 big mistakes, stays even, and crushes through ftw as soon as enemy makes one mistake?
It kind of sounds like that happened.
kind of, but the mistakes bomber made were small and the mistake coca made (throwing away 50+ lings and his whole muta flock in a poor counterattack) was a HUGE one

3) Freely wipes third of terran economy
4) Instead of crushing Bomber's force from two directions with a swarm of lings and banelings, he sends all his lings (50+) and mutas to Bomber's natural where two full production waves have been rallied to, and throws them all away including the mutalisks.

You think preventing one bunker from completing at the natural is a big deal? Half the time Terran don't care about the bunker finishing and are just doing it to play mind games.
And he wiped out Bomber's economy by losing half his army while Bomber's army remained intact.

Increasingly Korean Terrans have incorporated more and more in-base OCs to their builds. I said it was unusual to think that the rationale for this is that contrary to most Hatcheries/Nexus/CC type you would put down in many scenarios it actually makes you MORE resilent to an attack rather than the expected opposite. I mean you are obviously still vunerable right when the CC goes down and is upgrading, maybe through the first mule or two but the turnaround is very quick.
The Zerg macro hatch which is becoming more common has slightly less of this effect and proves to be more like an amplifier, given the choice to make drones you produce them faster, likewise with units for an attack or defence. But the extra larvae in the short run offer no real rebuilding advantage unless you lose your queens, because you are seldom bottlenecked by the larvae on two base unless you are way over-saturated, making pure un-upgraded lings. or missing injects. its an interesting difference.
But your point is good too.

Man, after winning an MLG, I'd just want to sleep.

oh no i didn't direct this at you at all
that is definitely not a blind sentiment
barely even a terran op sentiment
I was just saying its weird that it is just shy of viable at a high level to build like four OCs as a Terran given any oppurtunity, just barely defend, then add a billion barracks and roll over the whole map.
Just another reason you need offracing MMRs for the ladder so I can do this all up ins the bronze league.
2-base + macro hatch is actually really good. Saturate faster, build/replace army faster, handles all-ins really well. And you literally can't spend all your money on 2+ saturated bases without adding macro hatches.
And granted Ret is something of a corner case, but he likes 15 hatch -> 2 macro hatches (one close enough to mine as rocks go down) -> stupidly fast 3rd on TDA. Very cool build.

it would be a fun shift in the metagame to watch these really tense battles while like four CCs are constructing in the background

It's kind of cute that you consistently crawl out of the woodworks to post inflammatory bullshit during major events.
And outside of any other context I might assume you were some kind of jackass.
But I don't know you well enough to say that with any certainty.
