Dark Heresy because there is nothing like taking out a Chaos cult seconds before they summon a daemon by rushing in with a ton of live grenades strapped to yourself
Rogue Trader because trading from the position of give us what we want or we will drop an asteroid on your city is always fun
I'm playing with the idea of introducing some people who know literally nothing at all about roleplaying AND Warhammer to Dark Heresy.
It won't end well I think.
I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
Yeah it was. It wasn't perfect, but then it was more guidelines than hard and fast rules. 2nd Edition came out not long after I started playing and we swapped to that pretty quickly (mainly cos I was playing in store, so that's what we played.)
Though the hunt the dinosaur was some of the most fun I'd ever had.

Warmachine is really fun and not as expensive or massive as 40k!!!!!
I really want to play 40k
I have some cygnar dudes.
It's a pretty excellent game.
I like all the different combos you can do with all the figures.
That is actually what persuaded me to buy my Menoth (hilariously the most limited) was that Warmachine isn't over til it's over. Where I heard you can show up to 40k and know the winner based on the list : (

It can only end good, because it can only end in lots and lots of blood.
True enough but the sheer mechanical aspects of GMing for them seem daunting.
Add to this the fact none of them speak English and the German translation of DH is balls-out retarded.

Still in love with 'Nids tho'
Yeah a lot of Warmachine comes straight down to on table play, deployment and use of your combos.
One time I threw the avatar of menoth ONTO Kreoss with my thunderhead.
Like, the only chapter made up of black people because their geneseed is impure?
Ferrus on

I like that. Table play should be the biggest factor, not your wallet/internet resources.
I love the Avatar though, and the Rack. Bonus points for hearing the cries of the enslaved? Yes. Please.

It's so delightfully impossible to play.
on the other hand
those new ogre models
I wish I could play Dark Heresy with people
yes there are a lot of dice rolls (a lot)
but it's supposed to be pretty enjoyable and you get to help an Inquisitor take down Bad People!
I wish I knew more people who are into 40k
Man O' War.
Seems like fun.
^^^ Up there I was talking about 40k 1st edition.
Man, Grey Knights need to look into cost/reward evaluations.
A company of like hundred year veterans for banishing a guy for 100 years.
That's not good business sense, get some better banishment rituals.
I still have my copy of Rogue Trader.
Also Slaves to Darkness.
Dark Heresy because there is nothing like taking out a Chaos cult seconds before they summon a daemon by rushing in with a ton of live grenades strapped to yourself
Rogue Trader because trading from the position of give us what we want or we will drop an asteroid on your city is always fun
Because it sounds like a mess.
Did you see the recent fluff for the GreyKnights were they were purging a planet and the only non corrupted people were a bunch of Sisters of Battle?
The Grey Knights decided to kill all the SoBs and bathe in their blood to be ultra incorruptable
I just wanna be an Iron Warrior in a warband sieging cities all day.
Fluff is cha-razy now a days.
Rogue Trader is pretty good
Deathwatch is fucking awesome though. It's the only one where the system is good rather than an obstacle to my enjoyment of the game.
It won't end well I think.
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
Rogue Adeptus Mechanicus Magos running around putting AIs in everything.
It can only end good, because it can only end in lots and lots of blood.
god damn it
the grey knights were one of the few these are actual good guys left
now they are ULTRA EDGY
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only Mat Ward and his terrible writing
Yeah it was. It wasn't perfect, but then it was more guidelines than hard and fast rules. 2nd Edition came out not long after I started playing and we swapped to that pretty quickly (mainly cos I was playing in store, so that's what we played.)

Heretek
and you have to compete against a loyalist Magus and his band of Skitarii trying to hunt him down and silence him before you do
Ehhhh, I don't think they were ever actual good guys, they were always tools.
It used to just be that they were kill Chaos no matter the cost guys before
Now, they're just weird.

if we get a bit about how the Salamanders and Space Wolves were decapitating children or something I'm flipping a table
Sigh, I remember when there was only Hivefleet Kraken.
True enough but the sheer mechanical aspects of GMing for them seem daunting.

make it happen GW
One time I threw the avatar of menoth ONTO Kreoss with my thunderhead.
What they need to do is give all of the loyalist legion chapter masters rules.
Just so I can play a Salamanders army led by the space marine who can lift tanks.
I like 'em, but
you got all these chaos cults already all over the place
they're not redundant, but the concept's been so overdone it's kinda hard to make it "pop" again
Like, the only chapter made up of black people because their geneseed is impure?
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
Yes.
So yes.
...
what
they certainly don't have coal-black skin because their geneseed is impure because that would be just so fucking stupid goddammit GW
They aren't black anymore. They have demonic features with coal black skin and burning eyes
Which is lame as hell fuck you space marine codex background you suck
Really loads of marine chapters should have non-white dudes in them but GW kind of ignores that and it's really quite irritating
They have pitch black skin because they live on a volcanic death world.
It ain't because geneseed impurity, people on that planet are just born that way.
I like that. Table play should be the biggest factor, not your wallet/internet resources.
