I saw Jeff Bridges preform "What a Little Bit of Love Can Do" on the Colbert Report last night and downloaded the single on iTunes, but I like the version from the show a lot more than the album version. Anyone know how to turn it into an audio file?

Maybe you can download the video from the colbertnation site by using http://www.downloadhelper.net/

In which case you'll then have either a .MP4 file, an FLV file, or possibly a .WMV file. All you need at that point is a utility that can extract the audio part of that file. There are many possibilities for doing that, and my own solution would vary depending on the format of the video file you get from downloadhelper, so your best bet is to just google for "extracting audio from a X file" where you replace the X with the file format you got. Or you can check out videohelp.com which should have the help you need.

If you can play the video on VLC player, you can use that to convert to an audio file.

You can use Audacity to record a stereo mix during playback of said video clip.
