Blargh. I had a friend going to PAX, and she was going to give me her Sivir skin. Apparently they were out of bags when she got their Friday, so no doing.
Played like three ranked games, just hit 30. First game I'm pretty sure I made solo top akali ragequit from my nasus. Next two games, my team falls apart faster than the resolve of the east coast during an earthquake. Played kayle twice, once with Xin, once with Garen. Neither of them would harass/go for kills, it was infuriating.
Yeah that was great. I should have took a picture of the previous one where it was really even and back and forth. At this rate, I'll break even in no time.
The other one was really fun too. Very even game, and I got a chance to build an almost 20K Trynd build, which is magical.
"Oh look, it is the fed tanky DPS. slashslashslashslashslash dead (no ult needed). alright guys, let's finish the tower."
I really stand by that Trynd build, which I have to thank Constrictor for providing input into. Wriggle's makes laning phase easy (ward for ganks, life steal for sustain, armor for minion / auto harrass resist), and QSS is great for telling Mord to fuck himself when he tries for the 300+ AD Trynd ghost, among other uses. Then the rest is just damage items.
It's like no matter who I end up with against Kogmaw, he beats the hell out of me the whole laning phase. Not really sure how to handle him 1v1.
The key to fighting Kog is to recognize the following:
1. His range changes when his steroid is up, and his harrass is both hard to avoid and punishing.
2. He is squishier than many other carries and has no natural escapes.
He's pretty rough to fight though, esp. as little experience as you get against him these days.
If you get a chance to counterpick him, I'd say Trynd would be good. Or Brand.
Exhaust shuts him the hell down (Kogmaw, since he has no escape)

Does tank Gragas even exist anymore?
I mean AP Gragas rocks the house and is pretty damn fun but I heard he was once a tank and felt like giving it a whirl. How would one build him in terms of runes/masteries/items/ability build order?

This screenshot is weird because there's something on the ground that appears to be a dead Singed
Frozen Mallet is a pretty nice counter to Singed. Our team didnt actually have any squishies to protect from him though, but at least we could catch him this way.
Btw, if anyone has a spare nasus code, I'd love one. Nasus is one of my favorite characters, and it'd get used a lot. Also, I'd love to start playing with you gents now that I'm 30.
So what are the odds we get dominion next week? I want it noOooOoOw.
I think I agree. I already started plotting out items to start with using the new starting gold. Gonna be sweeeeeeeet.
Also started plotting nice top point grabbing techniques. Get Zil Janna and Rammus and speed buff powerball all the way up that shit so fast you claim it before they are close for the lulz.

Smart money has Dominion coming out between Labor Day and that Friday.
As for item plans, I'm thinking Catalyst + Health Pot + Ghost spell for lv3 teamfights: IIRC you level to 4 and 5 very quickly and that means it should proc during a successful teamfight.

So, any Sivir and/or Nasus codes that have been used on the American servers? So we can see if they really -do- work once on every server?
So, after talking with Wicked today before and after we had those crazy wins, he suggested I take up Mordekaiser. My first question would that if I get him, is it better to go sorc/sunfire/FoN/rylai/something/something like the top rated Mobafire guy suggests, or glass cannon with a lich/deathcap/non sorc boots/gunblade/somethingx2 like Dyrus and Vman7?
You could always keep it flexible and decide on your build order as you play on a game per game basis.
What I meant was, is it usually better to be tanky and you live and take a few out as a result, or walk up to them and alpha strike them as a glass cannon and if they aren't dead, they're so low that someone else will mop them up.

The tankiness of your build should depend on how much CC / burst the enemy team has and whether your team has someone who is tanky already .
edit: To elaborate, I had a very successful game as Morde where Iwas going pure death and carrying hard. I lost the game for our team by getting Ashe arrowed and killed before I could do anything. If I had grabbed a guardian angel instead of a Rylais or Abyssal Scepter I would be up and ulting as my team piled in.

Play both. Pick which items are most appropriate based on team composition. That's the point of keeping it flexible.

Wait, two? I haven't bought a single page, and I have 3.
They gave out free ones a while ago.

like sorc shoes/rhylais/sunfire/fon/abyssal/whatever
Exactly as predicted, we were fucking obliterated. 20 minute surrender, 14 kills down.
