on another note, I mean, the sivir skin looks cool and all...but how many of you are actually gonna play sivir....
Sivir isn't completely awful. She's probably the weakest ranged carry, but she at least has her niche. >_> She's kind of fun to play too, takes time to be perfect with spell shield. There are always normal games at least, where every champ is viable. I'd kill for the skin just like everyone else.
I still consider her one of the strongest ranged carries; she's just really specialized. She's got the biggest damage multiplier of any carry in the game, but starts the weakest and scales with level the weakest.
Even more than Tryndamere or Nasus she's my "I think this game is going to hit 60 minutes, and I want to crush the enemy."
And I would almost recommend just ignoring fizban's whines and pleas. I've seen him in a couple other threads and it's like beating your head against the wall. He never seems to take it to heart or seems to even listen to what tips are given to him. He just keeps complaint about the same stuff, talking about how it's impossible, OP, etc... In fact I thought I had him on ignore because of a thread like that.
You mean he's like this with every game he plays?
He was well known in the SF4 thread. Played blanka I believe (at least had a blanka avatar) and he's popped up in a couple others like this as well.
Im the same as he seems to be when I play poker though. Its the reason I'm slightly profitable instead of I could live in wisoconsin and do this to play for groceries.
Ok I swear watching those jungling videos and getting advice here made me worse. Maybe I tried to hard, maybe I'm too low
Level.
WW jungles really well, I'm lvl 12 with AS runes (tier 1). I jungle pretty good. My route seems fast and is on par with many videos without a leash. Maybe I'm coming out to soon, but I was underleveled all game, with a lot of assists, 0 kills, half as many deaths as assists.
I played bad. Maybe it's a learning curve of trying to gank.
I felt I helped my team though. Made people burn stuff. Sent em back, lowered their health. Bought a lot of wards, and with a team with no tank did my best to help initiate/R to a carry and try to take them out of the fight at the least.
Got some dragon kills, tanked baron, took down towers and helped with W.
If anyone has extra Sivir codes from Pax, i'd love one. I know a lot of people are lookin' for them, so I doubt I'd get one, but if anyone has an extra meet me behind a dumpster for a handie.

I still consider her one of the strongest ranged carries; she's just really specialized. She's got the biggest damage multiplier of any carry in the game, but starts the weakest and scales with level the weakest.
If you get the maximum bounces off a Ricochet you do 378% damage total compared to a single auto-attack; it's just spread out over multiple targets.
edit: ...I think, because I'm awful at math. 6th hit does 1*.75^6 of the first hit, but I suck too much to figure out how to add it up.

edit edit: no wait, it's 25% less, not 20%.
She's also got a 90% attack haste steroid too, combined with a move speed buff.
Her biggest issue is that she's a 60 minute champion in a 25 minute game. I'm really anxious about Dominion though. Depending on how they scale gold gain, I could easily see her coming back as #1 carry or being put on the back shelf forever.
It is just hard for me to see a visible gain in skill. That to me is frustrating, in FPS games I can tell when I get better at aiming. In SC2 I can tell when my build order is better. In LoL I have trouble telling when my team work is better, it could be the four other guys.
The reason you may be having trouble figuring out when you are playing better is that you are not really grasping what constitutes good play. Most of the things you believe you are good at are only a small portion of good play, and your attitude towards all of your teammates seems to show that you hold them in contempt and only want to play in a way that makes your stats better, not necessarily in a way that makes your team better. As a general rule, if you are consistently winning games whatever you are doing is probably pretty good play at your level, and if the opposite is true, you are probably playing pretty badly at your level.
Over the very long term, sure, but I've absolutely had pubs bad enough to take the steam out of any lead. Or hell, friends when they play particularly bad.
Champ choice matters too. It'll be at least a couple more months before I'm no longer annoyed about going 4/0/4 100 CS in a little more than 10 minutes as Shen, and losing. Had I been Akali instead, that would have been a 20 minute victory. Today's lesson: Don't play Shen until he is buffed. Exception to the rule: You have a really, really good carry on your team you know you can trust to win almost any game that someone else doesn't screw up.
EDIT: Yeah, not having flash is pretty awful seeing as it's basically the best thing in the game since autoattacks. Hell, on some champs (OK, mostly just Karthus), I'd give up autoattacks for more flash.
I think there are exceptions to this rule. Vlad and WW, for example, I have tried both extensively and prefer Ghost now, especially since they ruined Flash for WW.
Are there many junglers now that can take blue without a leash? Thinking about looking into warric more and finding a better path and maybe even how to play him well mid game heh. I'm summoner lvl 12 finally. Maybe I should just go nunu and fail at counter jungling
The correct answer is: Even a level 30 jungler with a perfect runepage and hundreds of games of experience should still get a leash on blue, because it makes your jungling safer, faster, and sets you up for a successful gank by having 100+ more HP at the end.

Jungle Nasus. How do?
I couldn't deal with Blue with a leash at the start, but then again I had my standard rune-page setup and my standard masteries and oh god why did I even try.

Soraka is totally broken right now - she 1 v 2d top lane and was doing SO MUCH damage. Starcall, Silence, Starcall = 600~ damage. She was 6-0 very fast and came mid to gank me, and it just snowballed into a quick 20mn surrender.
Also, if anyone has an extra Sivir PAX skin, I will love you forever!
My padherder they don't it be like it is but it do
I WANT to make Kayle work. Let me know if this is crazy; I'm thinking of starting with doran's blade and then building malady/black cleaver, atmogs, and rest depending on enemy team.

I did say probably, and champ selection is part of the process too. If you want to prove that you're the best thing since sliced bread, it's a goddamn awful idea to pick a character that is more reliant on your (apparently always dogshit) teammate's abilities, or that you don't know how to play. Of course, this is somewhat luck based too since you don't know how your teammates and enemies will react to a support/tanky champion, but it's still the same as any part of the game: odds management.
I've played WW a ton and Vlad to a good extent. Flash is better on both. WW because he's permaghosted in teamfights anyway and Vlad because it gets him over walls and out of ganks when his pool is on cooldown. Yes, if you preghost big fights you can pool farther away, but Vlad should never be dying with pool up anyway unless things went really south, and I just don't think Ghost is worth those situations; there are a lot more situations I want to be untargetable right now with pool down than situations I want to be able to pool farther away.
So, I know everyone is begging for the Sivir skins. What I really need is a Singed skin. He is my main champion. So... if I can negotiate with anyone for the Singed skin after PAX, let me know!
What is this I don't even.

Everyone stop asking.
Yes, some of us are going to PAX.
Yes, everyone wants a skin.
I do my best to commandeer as many skin codes as I can every day I'm there (and I'll be trying a little extra this year). I have my co-worker with me who will help, and I know at least Luny is going to be trying for some.
Please save begging and pleading for until codes are actually had and we know how many are available. We have no way of yet knowing how difficult or easy it will be to talk people into giving up their codes.
edit: Darke, Singed is only in the Riot store during PAX. After that, he's gone for good. So, 975 RP or bust.
Just had a Vlad get torn up something nasty going mid against Soraka, although I'm not sure if it's just because Vlad is bad or Soraka is that powerful 1v1 right now.
Ok if you are going to PAX, please grab me that awesome Sivir skin
ME TOO PLEASE. Everyone that plays with me knows that Sivir is my favorite character! Also, I secured at least 2 PAX Jax's for you all, my online brethren, at PAX East. So scratch my back now too

Um, I agree she's awesome, I disagree that she needs 60 minutes to be awesome. Sivir can support a gank and, if you rune her correctly does decent damage early game too. I often secure early kills with some tricksy baiting and EXHAUST. Exhaust is so boss on her.
I think she'll be really weak in dominion. Champions with gap closers will shit all over her. If she runs into any other ranged carry (particularly one with a snare), she will also get shit on. Her greatest strength is ricochet, but there aren't going to be big 5v5 team fights for that ability to really shine. With passive gold gains her ability to farm up a storm isn't very impressive either. This comes from Sivir lover extraordinaire.

Sivir is actually the champ I have the least trouble last-hitting with.
And I don't mean turning on Ricochet and constantly autoattacking. I mean dancing back and forth avoiding harassment pokes while blade-tossing the last 5HP from each minion in turn, occasionally getting a double-hit on the opposing mid-champion with Boomerang Blade.
Pity I suck utter balls at timing my Spellshields.
Has anybody else experienced weird textures since the patch? I am having 0 issues with character models/animations, but the terrain looks weird and shadowed improperly.

I am in loving of Shaco with the knives. I really kinda wish he had a Harley Quinn legendary skin so I could love em that much more
I love it when people run past me to get to more of my teams squishies, opening up their delicious backs for my knives.
Do you mean Harley Quinn the batman character or Arlecchino the Commedia Del'arte character?
Batman character
Edit: I would not be opposed to the other one though.

That's HoN. We get skins for a champ, instead of sexy urgot/ezreal/gragas/whoever. HoN has some good stuff, but literally half their skins are gender swaps.
And by literally, I mean I'm guessing because I'm not going to look it up.
OK, OK, starting to figure out this Talon character. The trick to Talon is you don't do ANYTHING until level 11. If you are trying to attack an enemy at level 4, STOP! Run away and hide in a bush until you can afford decent items.
Once you do hit level 11, the combo is slow them first with W, cut throats with E, and stab with Q. If you dash in with E and then attempt to slow with W, you might miss the enemy champ entirely.

The problem I've seen with Talon so far is his burst is good, but it doesn't do quite enough to kill before you need to wait for your CD's, so you either need to reduce the CD's or get him to do good damage with his AA.

I've been grabbing an early Mallet... but I dunno, the output from his passive isn't very good when all you've got is Mallet-level bonus attack damage.
Also his farm
It is awful
all i can say is word.
I grab mallet early to survive. die once. come back to lane two levels behind.
I just picked up a quatra kill with him =D.
I pick up flash/ghost with normal ad mastries. I go for bot lane.
My build order is:
Doran's Shield
Stay in lane until around 1500 gold
First trip back, Doran's Blade, 1 Boots, Long Sword (2 if I can afford it)
Stay in lane until you can go back and pick up, Brutalizer and boots of Swiftness
Pick Axe
Finish Infinity Edge
Finish Ghostblade
Black Cleaver
Bloodrazor
Sell Dorans Shield for Phantom Dancer/Zeal
Of course the stuff toward the end depends on how long the game is going and how well you are doing.
