I never could get my Femshep to romance Thane or Garrus. Honestly I just defaulted to Jacob because I at least wanted one FemShep with a ME2 romance to see what happens in ME3.
That being said I thought all the romances were bad, so I just picked the one that made my head hurt the less. Kind of had fundamental problems with the Thane/Garrus ones.
One of those problems being that one is a giant lizard and the other a giant bird.
Edit: I am really get tired of pressing tab twice and losing my messages because it takes me back to the main page. Fuckin' Vanilla.

Man I looooved the Garrus romance. Dinosaurs are cool.
I also enjoyed the Thane romance well enough, but no one is as awesome as Garrus.

Well. I guess I could understand the Garrus romance. Since he's like one of those awkward romantic comedies where two best friends try the relationship thing.
But in this case one of the friends is butt-ugly.
Thane's was just weird from a moral prespective though. Same with Jack and Tali's.

Well, Jack and Miranda hate each other, so maybe they were doing it on purpose.
Action Mode: For those who want to emphasize action and combat and minimize story management. Action mode will set automatic replies in conversation and a normal difficulty.
Story Mode: For those who want to emphasize story immersion and minimize combat pressure. Story mode will set manually-selectable replies in conversation and a minimal combat difficulty.
RPG Mode: For those who want to explore both realms of story and combat. RPG mode will set manually-selectable replies in conversation and a normal combat difficulty.
So basically.
Action Mode is for people who want to shooty.
Story Mode is for people who want to talky.
RPG Mode is for people who want both.

Yeah, peeps need to relax about the modes, if someone wants to play the game for shooter only, that's their perogative. Heck, after playing the RPG mode 8 times, I might even end up switching to Action mode myself.

Honestly, I think its crazy that you can even customize your dialogue options...I wonder how much stuff they're going to have to them if you can have multiple settings.
I guess these modes are fine, especially for people who just want to get their shoot on, but why do I get the feeling that Bioware's next game will be action mode only.
Also, damn, from those screenshots, Anderson got old fast.

Looking at one of the level up screens, with concussive shot, you can modify, "Force, and damage." "Shatter." "Amplification." "Impact radius." "Recharge speed." and "Shredder."
It seems that we can tweak all the powers to this extent....

It makes sense from a story standpoint. Krogan are not known for their extreme biotic powers, and biotic charge takes a (super-powerful, experimental) L5 implant.

Actually. While Krogan biotics are rare, the ones that are biotics are extremely powerful, so they should be a perfect candidate for Vanguard.

Extremely powerful? Is that in the codex? If I'm remembering right, Wrex was/is a Sentinel, which for ME1 at least was kind of middle-of-the-road biotics.
Edit: No, my bad, he wasn't sentinel.. what was he? ME1 Vanguard? Even that was middle of the road for ME1.

Seeing as the non-human MP classes look like they use the same model regardless of class, I'd wager those are placeholders; plus from other things it sounds like there's going to be more unlockable classes than "other gender and two aliens." Also I hope those mode things are just for testing, because a no-choice version sounds dangerously like canon.

Meh...no-choice version will be no more "canon" then default ME2 Shep choices.
The walking with weapon animation is still really awkward.

Yeah. Walking and movement still looks a little stiff. As for the faces I think they just look better with the new lighting. But it seems like some of the face animations aren't finished yet.
