I'm kind of worried about the flooding. Apparently, my apartment complex is in the storm surge danger zone.
Either way, I have to work tonight and possibly tomorrow night.

It's probably at least partly because we were talking about him in the D&D MMA thread, but the thread title made me think of Michael "The Voice" Schiavello.
It's not expected to hit up here where I live until Sunday. I guess. I am woefully unprepared and I'm working all day tomorrow so I won't really get a chance to remedy that.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

My first day with students is supposed to hit Baltimore Monday. The storm is supposed to hit Saturday night into Sunday and all day Sunday. 50/50 I go in Monday.

Sunday here.
There is a really, really dead tree right next to my house. I'm actually very worried about it.
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

CAT 2 right now, might get stronger when it hits MD. They evacuated Ocean City (on the Eastern Shore) Downtown Baltimore will be flooded big time. I am uptown so I shouldn't be effected too badly, though my basement will get some water.

It's forecasted to progressively die out. NC/SC are getting the worst with 85+mph winds, VA is getting ~85mph or less, and it drops off as the hurricane travels further north.

My couch should be out of danger. You're welcome to sleep on it.
Thanks Unfortunately, I have to stay in the area and go to work tomorrow night, if the roads allow it. Fortunately, some friends of mine that are on slightly higher ground are putting me up for the day.

As one who has deal with hurricanes (it feels like) every single fucking year, I am glad it's not headed into the Gulf but I also wish everyone who has to weather the storm a safe passage.
Cat 2 ain't too bad (from a floridian). stay safe, other east coasters. ain't really had a bad one since andrew and right now it just looks like some form of witchcraft
I'm trying to get ready for D*Con and Mother Nature keeps throwing all this shit in my way. Fuck this. Time to do it the old-fashioned way: turn my bathroom into a woodshop. Cancer fumes hoooooooooo.

Heard it was suppose to be downgraded to a tropical storm when it hits my part of the country (New England).
Still, the news said we were in the HIGH IMPACT ZONE, so I dunno

We are only suppose to get just grazed by this so I'm not too worried about being effected (Halifax, Nova Scotia) but I hope anyone who is is in its path stays safe. Storms can be the worst sometimes.
EDIT: Going to be hit sometime Sunday night/Monday morning. Hopefully in the morning though, as getting home from work with anything more then a bit of rain wont be fun.

I'm...I'm not sure this is something I'd be excited about.
That being said, it looks like Irene will be hitting on Sunday. I'm not too worried.
Why did your video come up? Mine did not.

I thought this was going to die down more as it moved up. Guess it aint safe anywhere along that coast anymore.
Unless you're allergic to cats.
