I called and asked. They don't price match. It was a guy who is usually really helpful, so I believe him. He did say that a manager could do whatever they wanted on a case-by-case basis, though, if there was a good reason.
Well, after going outside I managed to get Mass Effect 2 and Ico/Shadow in the actual stores at the discounted prices. ME2 was still marked $40, and the Target cashier was surprised that it really rang up $20. At Best Buy they didn't have them on the shelf...they'd just gotten them in on the truck that day, so if your store was sold out last time you checked, might want to check again...
Yay got my local GameStop to price match BB's sold out deal on Ico/Shadow.
Whoa, what?! How? GameStop never does price matches!
Gamestop stores have always done price matches. No one ever asks. ;-)
No, Gamestop does not price match. This is unprecedented.
That must be recent. I left Gamestop 4 years ago, and the last manager of the store I left still price matched anyone in town.
I've been a manager at 3 different Gamestops and we've never priced matched anything. Sure, a manager can technically do whatever they want, but are strongly discouraged from excessive/large discounts.

They don't, but when I asked if they do the manager told me that managers have the power to decide on things like that. So I politely ask whenever there is a game I'd like to get that I know another B&M store has cheaper.
Ico/SOTC at $24.99 stacks with the $10 @gamer coupon.
Picked it up last night for $16 after tax.
Best deal in a while.
I've never looked into @gamer. I'm assuming you need to buy the $15 yearly subscription to get the coupons, correct? Because while Ico/SotC for $15 would be very nice, I don't think I'd shop enough at Best Buy to make the subscription pay for itself.

There may be a little bit of hassle getting the coupon to work. A Best Buy manager may need to override the coupon on the sales price, and while the line from corporate is to let it go through, a lot of managers (at least the ones mentioned from the CAG thread on the topic) are not too informed about this.
Use code TECHB-ARGAI-NS015 for 15% off your order on GMG. Not the best site, but it's a lot more legit than a certain Russian one people were suggesting.

If you walk into Best Buy and say, "Y U NO HAV Dark Soul's Collectors?" They will straight up give you a 20 dollar gift card if you buy the regular edition, but you have to say it like that.
What the fuck was that two day price drop for Catherine about?
I was lucky enough to get Fry's Electronics to price match Best Buy so I could get the true box art, soundtrack and art book since all of the copies at Best Buy didn't have any.
Next day told my buddy to do the same thing and it was gone. Weird.
I don't know if it's truly a "deal" in that it's the normal retail price - but they just put out a Monster Hunter 2 pack on the PSP with Freedom 2 and Unite together in one box (2 UMDs) for $15 at Gamestop. I'd been waiting to pick up one of the series so this was a no-brainer for me...

Oh wait, it's a $30 gaming coupon for a future purchase when you buy Batman AC at full price. Thread titles made me think they were doing a crazy $30 for the game

Is the sale price available online? It's kind of sucked having half of our local options for gaming closed since the flooding (Gamestop and K-Mart closed.. still have Wal-Mart and Best Buy).

If anyone is moderately interested in Castlevania that is an amazing price. I know there's some serious haters out there but I felt like I got more than my moneys worth at full price. At $13 you could be pretty meh about the game and still get considerably more than you paid for in gameplay.
Just uh...pretend the DLC's don't exist and yeah. You'll be happier for it.

The goal with K-Mart coupons if you're new to the whole thing is to chain them all together and always be getting at least $15 off everything. Like even though it went on a super sale randomly after I got it, Ico/SotC came with a $15 coupon. I used that on Dark Souls which came with a $20 coupon. Now I could potentially use that on Batman for a $30 coupon which I would use on Sonic Generations which will probably also come with a coupon. Or maybe even Kirby which also comes out this month I think. I don't remember. You just need to purchase 1 game a month due to the expiration dates on the coupons. Otherwise you'll have to use the coupon on something else before it expires, as if you don't you just threw $30 out the window.
Amazon used to do that too, but they've toned it down seriously lately. But they've been getting more exclusive pre-order stuff instead so I think that was the point.
But for damn near two years I never paid more than $40 for any new game, usually much less with all the promo's I got for perorders and such. It was pretty glorious and I miss it dearly.

Amazon was just matching Walmart. Walmart has a dedicated section to preorders with giftcards. They're the ones that have slowed down on the $20 giftcards thus Amazon has less to match.
