Forcing myself to wait until next week for the other 2 DLCs, partly because I'm neck-deep in Dragon Age: Origins, and also partly because I'm going to Seattle for half a week for work and I won't be able to take my PC.
Is anybody else getting bad audio glitches in Lonesome Road on the 360? I get a crackling behind all the music and in-game effects that builds the longer I play

I'm forcing myself to wait too because I just don't want to deal with getting the 10k damage achievements from the gun runners dlc when pretty much everything on my "real" save if fully cleared. I'd prefer to just get them while I'm doing Lonesome Road. Though, I am curious as to what the "challenges" are and if they're something you just do while you play or if they're mini-missions.
Sir CarcassI have been shown the end of my worldRound Rock, TXRegistered Userregular
I'm going to wait until it goes on sale. I still haven't played any of the other 3 I bought on sale.
And I just started a new game, for some reason. Decided to play it without godmode, and on Hardcore. It's definitely a different experience and one I'm enjoying. I made it to the UH at level 3. I tried sneaking, didn't have much luck, then tried shooting, still no luck. I finally just ran. I think the sprint mode from Project Nevada helped, because I outran some cazadores and the 2 vipers that went after me. Though now I'm kinda stuck in the area.
I'll also say I just now messed with the VR pod in the UH. It's pretty dang awesome.
Funny thing, I've never actually tried the Hideout VR pod yet. Always mean to, but find other things to do instead.
Spent time last night doing some Bounties II. The mexican standoff with one of the endgame targets and his gang was sorta anti-climactic when I brought along the Fatman (all the explosives perks as well). "Let's fight it out" "whoosh" "KABOOM" lot of off-angle slow-mo flames in cinematic kill "where are all the bodies? oh, it's over on that roof"
I mean, it was awesome and all, but it just didn't quite satisfy.
Had to go look it up to see, but hot damn you're right Elendil. That's a pretty impressive perk. Though the neutral karma one is also pretty nice for a crit build.
This work day is dragging on sooooo much now. GRRAWAAAAWAWAWAWWW GIMME GAME NOW! :x
Anyone found any grenade rifles? There were actually two shown in the trailer but I haven't seen either and I've been pretty thorough. They were found as cut content in the OWB DLC, maybe they were cut again?
For that matter is there a unique Bowie Knife? The basic version is nice but to really compete with Chance's Knife it really needs that extra push off the cliff. I was hoping there was a unique variant somewhere.
Finished the DLC just about 30 minutes ago. I sort of rushed through it without knowing it, and ended up at the end without realizing it until it was staring me in the face.
Thought I'd post a tip for those of you looking for the best-looking armor ever:
When you first get out onto the interstate (the High Road), when you blow up the first warhead that's blocking your path, there is a ramp that leads up into the building that you're supposed to walk under. The incline on the ramp is ridiculous, and it at first appears that you wouldn't be able to walk up it. You can. When you reach the top, you'll discover "The Crow's Nest." Hanging halfway out of a window is an NCR special forces trooper wearing Advanced Riot Armor.

Oh you're going to like this.
Before you go into the Abbadon place, look around that big area for a ramp leading into a large water pipe. Follow it out (there's also an ED-E upgrade in there) and at the top is an NCR sniper in Elite Riot Armor with 22 DT and a bonus to Charisma and +5 Crit Chance.

Looking in GECK, apparently, there are two versions of the Deathclaw Gauntlet Unique that you get in Lonesome Road. If you get the normal version, it's called Fist of Rawr. If you get the Wild Wasteland version, it's called Fist of the North Rawr. *facepalm*
ed-e upgrades work if you cant bring any companions to the divide?
About ED-E:
You get a new ED-E who has the old ED-E's personality transmitted and downloaded into its head. The new ED-E has a new companion questline in the Divide and you get to find out more about his background. The upgrades are a 5 level perk on your character, and those upgrades should translate over to the old ED-E in the Mojave.
HOLY SHIT! HOOOLY SHIT! Umm, without even posting down the spoilers... let's just say that your decision at the end of the DLC can cause a MASSIVE change to the Mojave.... well, whatever, I got no regrets. Time to take this level 47 courier to the final battle!

Welp. Gotta start an unarmed character for this DLC then.

is there an "independent" interaction with ulysses for this dlc? I took my House character through, but I've done a ton of NCR quests, so I don't know if it's not there or if the game just flagged me as NCR anyway. if there is one, I wonder if any of my guys'll actually get it, since I do NCR quests on all my games

From what I've heard, having a high NCR rep makes Ulysses treat you like you're NCR's lapdog, apparently. It's happened to various people. The unique duster you get at the end of the add-on will also reflect which faction you're with, or rather, which one Ulysses thinks you're with. I got the NCR flag duster, but there's also the Old World Flag (House), Bull Flag (Legion), and Vault 21 logo (Independent) duster variants as well. You also get Ulysses Duster as well, but it has completely different stat boosts.
so whats in the couriers mile? All I found was a few warheads and super fucking tough deathclaws.
A unique knife stuck in a lamppost at the entrance. A stash of weapons tucked away behind something in the middle of the area. All I found though. Not a whole lot, especially given that you can the knife without ever fighting anything.
The scripted spawn thing that was so annoying in Old World Blues rears its ugly head in Lonesome Road. Every time you do something plot-related, they throw around a few creeps to attack you. It's getting a bit annoying.
Also, the Blade of the West in the DLC is modified in some way. I don't think it counts for the purposes of "the Wall". It might, I don't know.
This is the first New Vegas DLC with a new area that allows you to freely go back to the Mojave whenever you'd like, even when you haven't finished it. Also, you get to carry all of your gear, just like Old World Blues. Awesome.

It also names "Damnation Alley" as its biggest influence/a take on it.
I would wait till the 27th for the two minor DLC's, but I'm too weak.

Someone develop a device that will speed up my day so that I can go home and download/play this.
Someone also develop a time machine and get the speed-up-device to me at the beginning of the day.
