The truth behind the email. (Aruze Talks Shadow Hearts)
I know some of you saw my topic a month ago about it(and decided to go on a Grammar Nazi rampage for absolutely no reason besides topic derailment). Aruze has made it official.
I'll miss my favorite RPG series. It just never got the popularity it so badly deserves.

It really, and truly was. I still prefer SH3(while not as good as SH1) to stuff like FF12, DQ8, and other stuff S-E has produced.
Though, I think people will look back on it as one of the few RPGs that was not only mature, but also deeply rooted in world culture and history. I think there will be some RPG developer that takes that idea to new heights in the next generation of gaming.
It was probably better than Final Fantasy though, and for that
This is the third or fourth thread I've read today with you shitting all over the game in question. You should try staying out of threads for games you obviously don't enjoy.
Back on track, losing Shadow Hearts is a damn shame.
I'm not too surprised. Aruze was never about video games. Hell their most popular (and controversial) contribution to "gaming" was Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown themed pachinko machines.
While I'm glad SNK is still around, had the Aruze buyout not happened SNK would likely have remained the Shadow Hearts publisher.

That's shitty news, those are my favorite RPGs on Ps2. Hopefully the developers will set up shop somewhere else, or find another publisher or something. Usually good talent lands on its feet and continues the awesome elsewhere.

At least they made three solid RPGs. That's a pretty good accomplishment for any series.
I'll miss SH, but at least it left an impact.
Besides, even if they made a fourth, more likely than not, they'd still have the pressure to live up to the expectations the first two games set for everyone.

Only one word sums up my anger about this.
KHAAAAN!
The Shadowhearts series was just plain fun. I will miss it.

Sad news. It was a great series, and it had a good run. It may be better this way. Better to be remembered well instead of fizzling out with shitty sequels.
It's hard for me to look at my SH copies without feeling sad. I've played all three so much(mostly for the movies in SH:C and FTNW) that it'd be sad to play them again and realize I won't see them on the next-gen. I was so hoping for a PS3 title set during WWII. With their amazing graphical development teams(something that has shocked me far more than FFX, or FFXII, as far as graphical leaps and bounds), they could do wonders on the PS3 and make the perfect atmosphere for a game.
Shadow Hearts will be missed. All 4 games in the series (Koudelka and SH 1-3) were very interesting and a bold direction for an RPG to take. I can only hope the team that worked on them will find a new home someplace like the former Clover team did.

and where will I get my giant cock monsters now?
Megami Tensei franchise holds the answers you seek.
You'd probably like them. Shadow Hearts is probably the most Megami Tensei-like game I've played in tone that wasn't an actual offshoot of said franchise.

I guess all I need now is the official statement that Persona 3 won't reach PAL country and I won't have any need whatsovever to follow the JRPG scene....

What is it with you absolutely needing to spread your hate everywhere. Go back to the G4 fourms where that kind of shit is encouraged.
On topic, this makes me pretty sad. I thoroughly enjoyed From the New World and I hope to find Covenant eventually.
The name "powerss" triggered my asshole sense somehow. Now I remembered why.
