File uploading sites?

So a friend has a number of large files he wants to send me, so I suggested he uses a file upload site, the two I know of are yousendit.com and megaupload.com.

Any suggestions for the 'best' one available, important factors are ease of use (no registration required is a bonus) speed, highest file size limit.

cheers

Most IM programs like MSN etc. have convenient options for this which is IMHO more convenient than sites like rapidshare and such. Why don't you use those? Unless you live in like completely different timezones and can't ever be on at the same time or something.

There's also rapidshare.com which is usually faster and less clogged up than its .de counterpart.

Easily the best file sharing site, though it seems like nobody ever uses it. Up to 500mb, and I don't think there's any limit to how much you can download. No ads at all (at least not with popups disabled), downloads real fast. No registering or anything, just pick a file and upload it.

Edit: also, the links only expire if no one tries to download it within 30 days. Some of those other sites will delete it after a certain time no matter what.

I've been using mydatabus.com and it seems to be working really well.

www.mediafire.com is pretty nice. No need to register, but you can. Clean interface and good upload speeds. You can send a link via email from the site right after upload completes. 100mb limit per file, however.

But really, for a large volume of files, I think FTP transfer would be the quickest route.

2000mb limit, 90 days of inactivity before deletion, pretty good speed, wait times are around 40 seconds or less.
