Depends on the games for me. Since I already owned FS and the Frozenbyte Bundle I gave more to Child's Play this time than I did with the other bundles.

Merchant services fees are typically about 30 cents + 2-3% per transaction.
HiB's might be a tad less, considering the volume of transactions they process, but I'd avoid paying less than about a buck just because that'll put them in the hole.
Above that, no reason to feel bad about any split you want. That's why they offer it. I usually split mine among the devs and HiB evenly, with a bigger chunk going to Child's Play.

I pay what I can for the Humble Indie Bundles, and if I feel bad about what I paid, I'll donate more later. There's a handy button on the download page exactly for that.
Or you can catch up on the next one, if you are that strapped but still want to get in.
And Isy, don't worry about costing them money. They wouldn't set it up in any way that could cost them money.
I always do $5, thus beating the average, with the default split. I dig the purpose behind it, and it's cool that people are generous with their payments, but I still treat it primarily as getting a great deal on some games. I was considering doing a little less this time considering I was basically buying it only for the Shadowgrounds games as I had everything else already (except Splot and Jack Claw, neither of which I'm not very interested in them), but the SpaceChem addition totally sealed any reservations I had about my payment value.

For some reason, I never thought of it like this. Give what little I can now and then when the next one pops up, double the dontation! Thats awesome.
WHAT.
It turns out I already had Spacechem. On the bright side I've finally given to charity and I can stop feeling bad about deleting those HiB emails
360 pad, yes. Keyboard controls feel awkward just in the menus. Can't imagine what they're like in-game.
I played a couple more games last night and had absolutely no issues with stuttering. The only consistent issue seems to be the post-game reel chop, but that has absolutely no impact on how the game performs during games.
One neat addition I noticed last night: jerseys move and flow a bit when you switch photos in the pressbook. I'm not sure I understand the need for jersey movement in still photographs, but it's a cool looking touch regardless. Also, there are outdoor aerial shots of the arenas shown between halves that are actual footage instead of in-game models. Not quite sure how I feel about the presentation aspect, but I don't recall ever seeing them in 2K11 so it's cool just to have them.
Would you say the stuttering is due to your hardware or just wonky code? I'll probably pick this up after my girlfriend's b-day. Or maybe I should buy it for her b-day. That's what we're supposed to do, right? Buy something that we want to use?

If you're referring to the post-game highlight reel, I'm positive it's the game and not my hardware. I had the same problem with 2K11 as well. Actual gameplay has been perfectly smooth since that first game, and I've played quite a few games now.
Supposedly the servers are up and working better than last night, but I still can't get past the My2K account creation/key registration page before the server drops me. I enter my key, and it drops. PC people need to forward port 3658.

I've avoided every HiB simply because there's always been like, a single game I was interested in and I'd feel bad paying $2 or whatever I felt the interest threshold for the particular game was and getting all the rest, but SpaceChem is worth at least a fiver for me, so hooray!

As long as you've got access to the email that they sent the keys to, you can always get them to remail you keys for bundles you've bought in the past. There's a link down at the bottom of the page, or that's where it was the last time I needed it. BTW there is a new build up for Cortex Command on it's bundle page, it has some pretty nice new things in it from what I understand. Haven't messed with it yet, but it's on my to-do list.
Another chance to recommend SpaceChem? Yes please! I haven't put nearly as much time as I would like into this game, and still would easily pay $20 for it alone. It is one of the best puzzle games I have ever played, and now, even if you end up hating it, you end up with other games and a warm fuzzy feeling for doing something good!
Ok Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition players. I have fiddled with story mode and what not enough to know I suck and will not learn any more by just doing so. So with this knowledge firmly in hand, I am asking for those interested in playing in a League, to PM me their names, so I can set it up and let everyone smash me.
Man, after playing that Orcs Must Die demo, I'm probably going to have to pick it up. Reminds me a little of Tecmo's Deception and Dungeon Keeper, and I have really fond memories of those games.

Seriously. Wow it's good. I really like the art style and mechanics, traps are quite fun. But I can't convince myself to pay $15 for it.
You know what game I miss? Trapt. This sounds similar, if more actiony. Which is fine. I shall have to try this 'demo' people speak of.
I never played Trapt, but I understand that it was basically a Deception game...and I did play some Deception games enough to know that they were definitely similar to this, but a lot slower. Giant Bomb did a nice quick look of it.
Today's daily is Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars. I could've sworn that just went for free... on GoG.com.
The package deal looks pretty decent enough. Wonder if Broken Sword 2 is the remastered edition though that's also up on GoG, doesn't seem like it though.
Yeah, I noticed that. Edited my post to reflect it
So question - anymore Fable 3 DLC in the pipeline? The almighty Google says no, but I could have missed out some stuff. More importantly - is it as fun as Fable 1 TLC? Fable 1 was quite refreshing back then - not the best of storylines, but the gameplay was decent and humour was pretty snappy.
Weekend deal is Fable 3 for 15, and all the DLC is on sale.
I would buy that if I had the coins. Ah well. There's always christmas.
I've heard a lot of bad things about Fable 3.
I still sort of want to buy it.
Same here, especially since it's the only fable game on steam. I mean, I know fable 1 is avaliable for the PC, but I was never really interested in THAT one.

My experience is with the 360 version, but Fable 3 is a mixed bag.
It tries to hard to live up to the "your actions having lasting impact" mantra without actually having those impacts mean anything. Combat is immensely fun, and the plot and characters are both moderately intriguing and enjoyable, if a little light-hearted. And I've always loved the art style of the Fable games. Positively my favorite art style in any swords+sorcery game setting. I'll take playfully drawn characters over bland Obvlivionites any day. It always reminds me a bit of Beyond Good & Evil's look. Which is a good thing.
I, for one, didn't care for the overwrought "menu" system where every menu is actually a physical room you teleport to to preform actions. I mean, sure, the idea is neat, but in practice it gets so very old after the first few hours. Same with the leveling system. It's just overdone for the sake of being overdone.
Still, I guess it's an improvement on the abysmal menus in Fable 2. And the combat and story are enough to make it worth a playthrough, especially at a bargain price.

Honestly, one of the things I've been wanting to see the most with fable is the character creation. I'm usually pretty happy as long as that's not absolute garbage.
If you get Fable just stick to the basic story quests. Most of the side stuff is god awful and if you get into it, it will kill your enthusiasm for the game. And also living.
The base price still being 50 bucks is a bit questionable though. Wouldn't be surprised to see a price drop shortly.
The Steam version of Broken Sword 2 is just the remastered version, right? Is it worth picking up, or should I get the version GoG has which includes the original talkie version?
i am so on the fence about fable 3. I LOVED 1, started 2, but sort of lost interest at some point, even though I liked the game. 3 i have heard such horrible things about I don't know if it is worth wasting money on. Minor incident makes some interesting points... Hmmmm i have the weekend to decide. I really wish there was a demo.

I played through Fable III on the 360... I had a good time, and if you decide to go with any of the DLC, I would recommend the Understone Quest Pack. That being said, yeah... the menus tried hard to make me not have a good time.
Oh, also... without going too much into how, it does deal with the late game glut of RPG moneys in an interesting way.

It comes out on my birthday, that is a sign that I must spend money on it.
