I've got a PSP-3000 that I got out of a contest some time back that arrived with a damaged speaker. The left one just puts out a very rough and scratchy sound when its in use. Unfortunately since I won it, I have no proof of purchase and don't qualify for any warranty. Sony charges $70 for the repairs which is just absolutely outlandish, but most of what I've found online makes it look like a fairly simple procedure. I've just used headphones with it for some time now, but I think its due time I just took care of the problem.
What I'm looking for is just a recommendation of where to buy the part from. I've seen a good number of online stores, but I have no idea what would be reputable.
I've always had good luck with dealextreme, but shipping can be very slow, and it looks like they don't have the PSP 3000 speakers, just ones for the 2000 and 1000.
I looked into it a little bit, and it seems that speakers for 2000's are mostly compatible with 3000's, so that may just do the trick.
EDIT: The more I look around the less confident in that statement I am. A place called iFixIt has some specifically marked as 3000, though they're a good bit pricier.
