I do have to say the best advice I can give people for multi, is always be moving, or thinking of moving. If you stop in one place, you're dead, you're an easy target. Better to move and lose a potential kill, than stay in one place and become someones lay up.
Also for those playing on the xbox, tapping the left shoulder button does a quick toss of your nades, you can even do this in cover.

Yeah, read the "multiplayer controls" when you start up MP for the first time, as the game tells you nothing. I found out the LB thing for your throwables yesterday and it was a godsend.
There's a second or two delay for the animation to play out, so keep that in mind. But you can also time it so that you strafe past a window or doorway, and toss a flashbang/grenade/molotov without ever stopping.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Also if you are moving forward when you pick up a weapon your person will do a combat roll, which can distract oponents. Though be aware during the roll you can't shoot. The same is true of when you are picking yourself up after a shoot dodge. So its best NOT to move immeadiately after a shoot dodge if enemies are still nearby or you won't be able to return fire.

I think Hoboken is so liked because most of it is long range, and you can camp easier.

Who the fuck are these people and why are these idiots playing Max Payne? This is like loading up Bulletstorm and then just shooting everyone while completely ignoring the fatality combo system.

Oddly enough I find it easier whe people are camping. Allows me to come up from the blindside while they're aiming and shootdodge to get the drop on them. Nothing like diving into a group, getting one midair, getting another on the ground, and then meleeing the third all while they try to track me with aim.

If you play gang wars you can get a ton of EXP. Also playing with the gang last night was a major boon because I kept getting gang assists for kills you guys weren't anywhere near.

Well it didn't help that allforce had to afk a bunch. And I wasn't dying that often... Not to mention we did get the gang the 100 gang assists or something.

Haha I'm just kidding around. Didn't realize we hit the assist milestone. That's cool.

Heads up for those who bought the Special Edition, you can redeem your code for the free soundtrack at the link on the card now.
Lots of great ambiance (the 'Drive' comparisons seem really apt in a couple of tracks), but a sad lack of the Max Payne theme remixes. I hope those show up somewhere.
Thankfully, the album does have 'Tears', which has such an amazing beat.
I swear the internet is the absolute worst at reimagining endings. I just read some of the dumbest comments under a max payne 3 soundtrack entry and I feel like I lost IQ points.

Theyre really stingy with XP in this game... And i just had a horrendous match, so now im installing Asura's Wrath :P
I'll play more later when i get tired of all the anime.
You caved! I saw it for 37 bucks on Amazon warehouse deals last week and almost jumped on it....
The "we're not printing any more discs" thing scared me!
Scared me too! Got it yesterday. *sigh*
Anyway, I really want to see some real world impressions of the PC version of Max Payne 3. The jump from required to recommended is huge, and I want to see where my middle-high rig gets me.
The most impressive thing so far about this game is how quickly it goes from awesome to frustrating.
I sorta wish that the game didn't rely so much on cover. The most fun (obviously) is when I'm just slow mo diving around killing people, but then the game throws a hundred enemies at me and I'm force to hide behind cover and kill them little by little.
And they can't even get slow mo diving right 100% of the time. I was playing I think Chapter 5, when you're by the docks, and I kept dying not because I was being killed by the bad guys, but because I kept diving out of the way and into the water. It's just frustrating when I'm fighting in an office environment and die because I slam into a pillar or desk and it takes forever for Max to get up.
Still, those moments when everything clicks is currently making the frustrating parts worth it. I'm hoping to jump into MP this weekend.
I'm kinda curious just what the heck it's doing with a whopping 35 gigs of drive space. Absolutely dying to play this thing on the PC, but really not looking forward to watching Steam try to choke down that much data. My hope is that it's that the game looks wicked sick and they just need some super-beefy assets. And not that, y'know, they just did a lazy console port and didn't optimize anything.
Either way, man, the 29th is too far awaaaaaaaay. I saw that New York Minute was in the menu screen while watching the Giant Bomb Quick Look. That's all I need. That's all I've ever needed. Bring me your legions, that I might built a tower of corpses, mortared with brass and gunpowder.

Played few gang wars matches, the xp started flowing. I like that its all a connected story narrated by Max. Seemed to be stuck on the Tiete docks though. Even if we voted for Hoboken or the bus depot, it kept putting us at the docks.

Oh, I have no problem with campers. The Specialists had it's fair share of tossers who thought that hiding in a corner is going to get them somewhere. All that would happen to them is they'd get stuntkilled over, and over, and over. It just bothers me that people would play a game that is all about stylish gun battles and then just sit around with their thumbs up their asses not actually enjoy all the cool shit the game offers. These people are incredibly boring and need to strapped to a chair and forced to watch Hardboiled and A Better Tomorrow 2 until their eyes bleed.
Not even 5K people total playing this on a Friday evening....
It's not Call of Duty therefore the majority of people don't want to play it.

Yeah, I saw that. I saw a multi video and screamed at the monitor (In my mind) "Shootdodge you damn moron!" It's like playing Gears of War and never using cover.
Is anyone else getting insane load times for multiplayer?
One thing about MP you have to learn is to not instinctively
shoot-dodge every time you see someone, got killed a lot on
the ground shoot-dodging without any adrenaline.

I should try a game with PA group
Yeah especially in large team death matches the load time is hilaribad. I want to say its based on player latency but I have no idea.
