Alright. Upcoming games has been updated, I think. I added a Vita Section with Alien Spidey and Urban Trials and, while I looked around a bit, I couldn't find any confirmed other Vita PSN titles that I could A) assure would be only PSN or B) could find anything beyond a name for. Still, something for the future.

The Recommended List hasn't been touched in a while, however, so if you guys would like to look through it and nominate games to go on it, I'd be more than happy to put them on. You don't have to format them like I've got in the OP or supply anything beyond the name, but if you would, I would be eternally grateful. Or at least grateful for a few hours or something. I also still need to figure out a way to show off their Non-US Currency prices.

I keep getting this while trying to download the latest Disgaea 4 patch, and can't find any info on what it means or how to fix it. Help?

Do you want to add games that are PSN only in certain countries? Because Gravity Rush is PSN only in Europe, even though Japanese games tend to do a lot better in Europe than they do in the US (the main reason why the Yakuza's sell decently). And on the PS3, Warriors Orochi 3 is PSN only in the US.

Otherwise yeah, I'm not sure either. There are quite a few launch PSN titles but after that, it's not entirely clear which ones are PSN exclusive and which ones will show up at retail as well.

Anyway, seeing as I posted this in the Vita thread, I figured I'd post it here too:
    • When you buy MotorStorm RC you will be able to play it on PS3 and PS Vita at no additional cost.
    • When you buy Hustle Kings and/or Top Darts for PS Vita, you will get the PS3 versions for free. If you already own these games on PS3, you’ll be able to download the PS Vita version for free.
    • If you purchase WipEout 2048 and you already own WipEout HD and the HD Fury DLC on PS3, you will be able to download them for free when they launch on PS Vita later this spring.
    • DLC purchased for the PS3 version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 can be used on the PS Vita version for free (and vice versa).
    http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/02/16/try-ps-vitaps3-cross-play-content-for-one-price/

The wording on the Wipeout HD/Fury bit is a bit weird but it's talking about DLC for Wipeout 2048.

    Argh. ARGH.

The XIII-2 Bundle is gone. On Friday? What a fucking arbitrary day to end a bundle.

My options are Darkness 2, Kingdoms of Alamur or some fighting game. Sigh. Guess it's 160gb solo and FFXIII-2. D:

It's probably SCEA's fault, as they're not fully translating it to English (Japanese voice acting, English text/subtitles). It makes sense that they'd let the Yakuza's pass because they're exclusives but hold up a multiplatform game like WO3. Still stupid though, as it gifts the 360 a retail exclusive.

Eh, I imagine KOEI could've done something, but it doesn't really matter. Europe's getting a Disk version right? Because I guess I can just import it since there's absolutely no way I can download full-size PS3 games on my shit connection. Regardless, that's neither here nor there.

To bring things back on topic, I put in Gravity Rush in the Vita section of "Things to Look For" with a note that it is exclusive to PSN in PAL land. Last I heard, the rumored release date was in May, so I used that but if anyone's heard otherwise, let me know!

Yeah, we're getting a disc version. You won't be able to download any DLC but it's not like anyone really cares about DW7 DLC anyway (hell, they don't even bother to release it on the NZ store).

The upcoming list looks good to me. Only nitpick I could make is that the Munch's Oddysee pics come from Stranger's Wrath but they haven't released any images from it anyway, so it's not a big deal. And May is what I've heard of for Gravity Rush as well. Sony are trying to spread their Vita releases out a bit, so it was sadly delayed.

Bought Klonoa last night. Noticed the emulator now has a built-in screenshot feature.

What an odd thing to add in at the end of the PSP's lifespan. I wonder how long that's been going on.

So out of the software I bought Thursday:

Motorstorm Arctic Edge is awesome. (Possibly the best racing game I've played on the PSP)
Klonoa is awesome. (Duh, I played the Wii remake as well.)
    Twisted Metal: Head-On is...meh.

Maybe it needs more time to grow on me, but it just feels very unfinished and very amateur in design.

If you decide to grab Arctic Edge do keep in mind it's in a two-pack with Twisted Metal for $14.99.

Motorstorm by itself is $19.99, so even if you don't want Twisted Metal it's cheaper getting both of them.

I would highly highly doubt it. Made by an indie studio who exclusively works on PC games (s'far as I know) and I doubt they would (or could) hand it to another studio to port it. It's unfortunate, but them's the breaks.

Seeing as they port the emulator between all their systems, I'd guess that they needed to add the hooks for the Vita's universal screenshot function and just decided to release it on PSP (and probably PS3) because they could.

And yeah, from what I can tell, Twisted Metal Head-On was developed by a B-team, so it makes sense that there wasn't a ton of effort put into it. Wikipedia credits it to Jaffe but seeing as he was working on God of War at the time, it's obviously just referring to the PS2 port (which Jaffe did have some involvement in).

New gameplay features include Assassination, which lets players make silent and satisfying kills more easily. A completely new Katamari gameplay feature allows players to use the rear touch panel of the PlayStation Vita system to stretch the ball either horizontally or vertically to pick up more objects at once or squeeze through a narrow gap. With many more details yet to be revealed, the Prince is already limbering up in the wings to bring a dose of irresistible Katamari oddness to the PS Vita.

Soldiers are placed in a tense, hostile, and claustrophobic environment where they must complete a variety of military objectives. Players act as the Squad Leader, providing direction to Alpha and Bravo fire teams. The successful Squad Leader effectively uses cover in the environment and moves his fire teams in a coordinated fashion so they can protect themselves from possible attacks that could come from any direction. Full Spectrum Warrior puts you in the dirt with your men, where danger lurks around every corner.

For some reason, it seems like not all of the rest of the launch games have been mentioned in this drop post. Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus or whatever it's called is missing, which is likely an oversight, but, it seems like more than that. Aside from that, some of the titles lack mention of the (PSN/Game Card) thing. I guess we'll see if that means anything Tuesday.

Friggin' finally. For some reason, no Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, which I imagine is Tecmo-KOEI's screw-up, since they probably 'moved' the release date to launch without submitting the game early enough for it to actually be released on launch. But eh. As you can see, the AR games are finally here and free, as well as a few of the Apps we were promised for launch window, so I imagine the rest will be forth-coming soon.

Also since Vanilla doesn't like Quotes within quotes anymore and by extension, I don't like Vanilla anymore, I'm retooling the OP to have separate quotes which is about as unnecessary as you might think and doesn't take a lot of work, but I'm -really- grumpy now and that didn't help.

Edit: Actually that looks nicer. Color me surprised.

The Vita bit should've given you a clue. :P

The bug was fixed a while ago anyway sadly. This isn't the first time SCEE have screwed up, so it's worth paying attention. I ended up getting a free copy of GTA VCS thanks to their screw ups.
