I wonder what the criteria, if any, is for this credit.
I've got another account that I had completely forgotten about up until the PSN hack a few years back. Used that in conjuction with my main account to nab most of the free games they were offering. Other than that though, I've never logged into it, nor have I ever spent a cent on it. I honestly don't expect it to get one. But it would be hilariously awesome if it did.

I think it goes by online play. My son plays a lot of the LBP user created levels, and we usually get all the free things Sony hands out. Including the $10.

I hardly ever play online games but I do buy a lot of stuff on the PSN (all of my Vita game purchases have been digital). Got the free $10.
Has anyone who's gotten this second wave of $10 credit also gotten the first?
So I just platinum'd Sleeping Dogs from my free UK PS+ month. Really great game, enjoyed it far more than GTA4 (hated their car handling) since everything is far more arcadey and caters to fun over simulation. The storyline is great, point system for missions is neat (having to be really careful not to hit objects or cars during missions can be tedious) and there were only a few grating things to complete for the platinum:
Reckless driver: 30 total minutes driving at max speed in a Class A car. If you aren't trying to get this done over the course of the game it's really boring to finish
Max Triad Level: You're going to have to repeat a few missions after you unlock particular moves to finish this one and abuse the point system. Half fun half annoying.
Gambler: Win $1 million gambling. This one is just flat out dumb and involves flipping a coin and saving/reloading.
Other than those everything else was fun to get done, the base game is a joy, it's got a lot of DLC if you want more of it. The base game, while a little unpolished thankfully did not drag on forever (one of my pet peeves in open world games.) There wasn't the copious amount of fetching missions that just involve driving back and forth. The heavy amount of fist fighting sits on a system that's halfway between GTA4's pile of shit and the new Batman games' awesome brawling. Annoying until you get used to its quirks, then it's some good fun.
im finishing out the last bit of stuff for the platinum too. ive really enjoyed the game. i think all ive got left to do is finish stealing cars for this guy, and then go around and buy all the cars and clothes. i never got tired of breaking dudes legs.
I agree with almost everything you said except the awesome Batman bit (Batman's combat system may be pretty but it's not great) and the DLC. Maybe the DLC fits in a lot better when you're still actively playing the game but I found trying to get back into it months after I finished it tended to make the DLC very boring. I haven't played Year of the Snake though, just the other ones.
Speaking of PS+ games, I'm surprised that I'm liking DOA5. The stupid boob jiggling still makes me face-palm in embarrassment and I sure as hell wouldn't play it in front of others but as a fighting game, while it doesn't have the depth of VF, Tekken or SC, it's still pretty fun. And it's interesting that the VF characters are like a cross between DOA and VF, where some combos require input on the correct frame instead of just button mashing or whatever.

Trying to think of a better hand to hand combat system that's not a fighting game and coming up short. The variety of options and the sheer fluidity and polish of the combat are top notch and I had a lot of fun with it. You have stuff like DMC and Bayonetta but Batman set a high bar for realistic brawling that's only a positive for the industry, even if you don't enjoy that particular incarnation of it. I didn't actually play any of the DLC for Sleeping Dogs. What I meant was that while the core game's content is short (one of my favorite things is that everything on the map is accessible from the start, even though the world isn't that huge) there's plenty of add-on content if you thirst for more. Usually I get sick of open world stuff halfway through, this one was juuuust right.
OH FUCK! man, that is incredible news. those are the only two beat em ups i have actually wanted ports of for a long time, but i figured the licensing was fucked on them and it would never happen.
My friends and I used to spend so much time at this little local arcade that had those D&D games. Great games, great memories. Hopefully it has good online play, I'd love to sink some serious time into those. I think they were only two players, though...
Ni No Kuni is one of those games I really want to play but don't quite want to pay $50 for even though I know it's going to sit at that price point for ages. The thrifty gamer's dilemma. C'mon PS+ sale. I believe!

Yakuza.
Batman's decent for a pretty casual button mash friendly experience, I just have issues with it being held up as anything more than that. I throw it into the same category as Assassin's Creed, in that it looks cool and is fun in small doses but once you've got the mechanics down and have encountered all the different enemy types, there's not much more to it.
I wasn't sure about the DLC part, so that's cool. I still think there's a possibility that the DLC would be really fun for someone who hadn't finished the game several months beforehand and was trying to get back into the game while playing the DLC.
If I remember correctly, I got bored with Sleepy Dogs right around the time I finished it. I still had to do the gambling, races, hidden events (which I had to google and then figure out which one remaining event I hadn't done) and triad level bull afterwards and that became a chore.

PSA: Hatsune Miku Project F demo is on the J-PSN. Boy is it pretty. Worth a look if you have any interest in Sega USA's movement on facebook to get the series localized(and hopefully you do).

Let me tell you about a credit card you can apply for...

I haven't played Yakuza, but now I guess I'll check it out. Pretty sure there's a demo buried here somewhere. Thanks for the heads up.

I actually did apply for that. About to close my checking with my current credit card provider so no real reason to keep the one I have with them.
It's been a long time since I bought a downloadble game on day one.

Elminage was my last.
PSA if you plan on getting Project Diva's demo(why haven't you): the arrow keys are color colored, and you have to hit the D-pad with the corresponding button(blue for X, red for X, green for triangle).
Not sure what the hesitation is about giving Sony your credit card, unless it's related to the old PSN breach. You can just turn off automatic renewal as soon as you get that stuff set up and you're good to go.

...And it probably won't come to the Vita because Sony hates its customers. *sigh*
Yeah because Sony develops every game on their systems...
So I just started Need for Speed: Most Wanted and this is just like Burnout Paradise but with annoying fucking cops chasing me. Normally it's not so bad but once you get into the higher heat levels, it's just a pain in the ass.
Yeah considering it's the focus of the game the cop stuff is the most poorly handled aspect of it. Really enjoyed the game but I feel like it was held back by the weak cop aspect. Also I want motorcycles damnit.

This is the reason why I haven't given them my credit card. I go to the brick and mortar and pay for vouchers in cash. My trust in Sony is exactly zero.
Heard the proposition that RIAA and MPAA should join forces and form "Music And Film Industry Association"?

I open my messages and see it's just letting me know that Scott Pilgrim DLC is now available.

The Wizard's Companion is almost worth the price of admission alone. Imagine if they made an iPad version of the book.

I notice a lack of a release date. If I were a betting man, I would say Dragon's Crown will come out BEFORE either D&D game does.
