Is there not a single good turn-based JRPG on the PS3?

I am NOT looking for strategy rpgs, I own Valkyrie Chronicles and played the original Disgaia to bits on the PS2.
I want a current gen version of a classic Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy JRPG with no flashy new combat system as seen in FFXII and FFXIII. No real time, I want to meditate while I grind up for the next boss, issuing the same commands over and over.
I have a gazillion of these for the PS1 and PS2, the whole Megaten stuff available, Shadow Hearts series, etc.
I want something like that with current Gen graphics.
I do own Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata for Xbox, but Sony seems to be lacking in this regard.
Have you tried Resonance of Fate? It's not exactly turn-based, but the combat plays something like a cross between Valkyria Chronicles and Shadow Hearts.

Actually I have this on the Xbox, but couldn't stand playing it because of my old non HD TV it was a pain to read the text. I might try it again on the new TV, but still I would really love some oldschool JRPG goodness where I can take my time during fights and just issue commandos.
Guess I will have to wait for P4 HD.
The Atelier series (Atelier Rorona, Atelier Meruru, etc.) are turn based. The graphics aren't quite next-gen, but few JPRGs boast truly "next-gen" graphics. It also isn't an "epic" series of games... you aren't trying to save the world, you're just trying to save your little alchemy shop. There's a lot of crafting and gathering, but the JRPG elements are pretty standard.
Ar tonelico Qoga isn't turn based, but it's a pretty typical JRPG otherwise.
There's Cross Edge. That's the bizarre NIS and Capcom character mashup RPG. If you want Disgaea characters running around with chicks from Darkstalkers or something, this is your game. The battles look pseudo-tactical (but aren't, really), but nothing that spamming the Attack menu option over and over can't fix.
Enchanted Arms is a pretty typical JRPG. The battle system looks like an SRPG, but it's much more like Trails in the Sky, and you can just auto-battle to have your characters optimally move and attack (no different from Final Fantasy NES/SNES games, where you press Attack, and watch your characters automatically move forward and attack the appropriate target).
The Last Rebellion was pretty mediocre, but it's also a turn-based JRPG. The combat is a bit unique, in that it's highly based on targeting various locations on large enemies in a particular order. Once you get the order locked down, you can combo them into oblivion.
Trinity Universe is another bizarre NIS crossover RPG. I haven't seen much of it, so I can't comment on it.

If all you do is spam the attack button, you'll lose pretty quick, especially on Hard difficulty which is required to see the Truth End. The battle system is actually ridiculously deep and really fun. The overworld map/exploration system is balls out awful tho. Problem is, the fighting is still time based; you have to be quick. Same with Trinity Universe.
Otherwise, you could look at The Last Remnant. It was my game of the year when it came out. I absolutely loved it.

I have the last remnant as well, i enjoyed it up until the large scale boss fight when i just got wiped out by the other generals. I probably needed to grind to get my combat level up, but i hate that and never got back into it.
