Sheth was looking so good, up 140 supply to 108, and up 3 bases... then he feeds 4 30 food armies in drops to alicia, instead of just maxing and killing him
that is because void rays are one of the hardest counters to Colossus that there is.
Well yes but he had a lot of stalkers too. But Immo VR Zealot worked awesome.
ALRIGHT FINE I GOT AN AVATAR

Alicia doesn't seem to be so strong in PvZ. I'm not really watching but Sheth was winning decisively before some silly decisions, and now I tune back in and Ret is up 40 supply and a base to him.

whoa, and just like that Alicia's back in the game.

goddamn it Ret.
Why do so few Zergs know how to use roaches against colossus armies? You don't stand back and trade in a concave, you stutterstep in and push up right in their face so that they have to micro their colossus away, spend time not shooting, and then don't have as great a splash arc.

ZvP nowadays seems to be largely "ok, we're at the 15-minute mark so the Zerg is naturally ahead. Let's see if they engage well and stomp all over the Protoss, or engage poorly and lose in a silly fashion".

Hunter-Seeker Missile is fucking stupid retarded good now, FYI
Imagine three seeker missiles at a highly saturated mineral line
Imagine the pain.
I have to admit that I don't entirely understand the rationale for buffing HSM and nerfing Fungal at the same time.
I mean, yes, technically you can dodge HSM, but you better be watching when it's launched and you better GTFO immediately or it's going to land like a tiny nuke.

That's really annoying. If you put down 3 storms on a mineral line and they react fast enough, you might be able to get some kills if you're lucky (if you place the third one in the retreating path)
I'm fairly sure the Seeker missile won't say "We're under attack!" until your shit has asploded.

I still say it is retarded that Fungal is a complete snare rather than just a movement-slowing effect. Buff the damage or duration if need be, but something that takes control completely away from your units is dumb as fuck. As a slow, at least, it could be worked around and would lead to some interesting micro, and it would still serve its current function of synergizing well with banelings, lings, and ultralisks.

For reference, I had a flock of mutas about, I dunno, three inches from the Raven on 1600x900 resolution. He fired the HSM, I had time to go "The fuck? Oh!" Then all my mutas were orange health. Two heartbeats-ish.

Ehhhhhh
I'm pretty sure no one ever used Ensnare ever in the history of BW

to play devil's advocate for a moment, a player who doesn't react to the storm drop until he hears that his workers are under attack will not save them in time for them to not die. A storm does 80 damage and even SCVs only have 45hp. A seeker missile strike on workers would be no more or less devastating than a storm drop.

Although why a Terran would bother with seeker missiles on a mineral line is beyond me.
8 marines and a medivac will kill more workers reliably, are cheaper, more powerful, more able to chase down workers who attempt to run, can kill more than just workers, are more able to defend themselves and more able to escape.

Because Ravens look cooler?
Sure, I suck at the game, but my army looks badass.

Do they look cooler enough to risk three ravens at 300 minerals/600 gas instead of 8marines1medivac at 500 minerals/100 gas?
Nothing rivals a marine drop for worker harass. Nothing.

that's exactly it. they're very expensive and take starport build time.
late game it makes sense, they make sense for timings attacks... they're growing in popularity in tvt even more because they also stop marauder shots
but tvp it's gonna be a little bit. they stop stalker shots but stalkers are already not great against terran... detection is nice but it's super vulnerable to being sniped and you can comfortably save scans by the time you could comfortably get a raven with the current metagame.
they're awesome units, there are just better ones.

The cost of a Raven isn't much more than what it's costing you to scan instead of dropping a MULE; I think more Terrans should get them for reliable detection with their armies... pick off one observer and it's already essentially paid for itself, assuming you would have scanned to kill the obs in the first place. And then the array of fantastic abilities you get with having a Raven...
Great, now I'm giving them ideas.
My zombie survival life simulator They Don't Sleep is out now on Steam if you want to check it out.
Well looks like Masters is already putting me up against some stiff competition. Have to step up my macro hardcore. I lost a silly game to a Terran because I let him build a bunker outside my natural after I successfully pressured him with 2stalker and floated 900 minerals because I was microing. Gonna do more streaming and heavier ladder games in a row once I get some free time, probably after Thursday.

Like, you get a couple of ghosts for EMP, a couple ravens for PDD, then you laugh at the deathball with whatever else you get.
I don't think so, but it's pretty close.
Godspeed you glorious bastard.
EDIT: Placed Platinum.
I don't know what they're spending their gas on if they're just building marines :P.

Seeker Missiles do move faster than workers now, by the way.

this is the kind of harrowing problems Terran players face on a daily basis
"OH GOD, all my units are SO AWESOME. How do I CHOOSE between them"
