While I'm saddened to see it officially declared in one of the trailers as The Final Season, I am glad they're going to get 13 episodes to wrap things up.
Hopefully that also means no filler, just a month and a half of unstoppable badassery to bring this to a fitting conclusion.

I'm okay with them ending it now, but since they announced that it was cancelled after they'd finished filming it, I'm expecting them to leave some things hanging for a hypothetical sixth season. Hopefully it won't be anything major, but if they end it on a 'to be continued', I'm gonna be pissed.

I loved first 2 seasons, i liked third, but fourth dissapointed me terribly. Let it end before the series becomes even worse.
I feel the opposite!
The fourth season kicked everything up to the next level and, not least of all had If-Then-Else which is an amazing episode.
The episode following Control was also great! Having all the stories in the background of John and Root going on a rampage to track her down was really clever.
The final sequence of the whole season was just great! And saw John reunite with the grenade launcher which had me cheering.

Killing both him and Elias after episode about saving him was cheap.
Too little metaplot, too little new characters like Claire, or anti-Reese (i dont even remember his name) agent of Samaritan, or male-Shaw working for Control, who also got killed without doing anything.
Reese and Root after kinda sorta more realistic fight scenes in earlier seasons here become Rambos, especially in a last scene of the season.
FOR ME, music was worse and less memorable - i still remember some songs from season 1!
Potential of "now we are undercover with new jobs" got wasted.
I'm kind of rooting for unchaining the machine, having it reveal itself, and it can run as a third party in the presidential election after revealing literally every dirty secret of every politician in the country

I strongly suspect that Harold will publicly deliver a speech that invokes most of his opening monologue - you are being watched, etc...
Also that this is a simulation and root is the one.
Most of the dialog seemed out of character or a caricature of the character.
While I am also annoyed that the entire episode was a simulation, I do like that there are some things that are omitted because it is a simulation... like Fusco not being in there since he's not involved with the Samaritan arc (with the cover IDs, I wonder if Samaritan knows he's even connected with the group?). Or how nothing happens without Shaw's POV since she's [in] the simulation. Or that the location is never referenced as "the subway."

Before the end though, I want a full goddamn episode from the machine's perspective. We deserve that much at least.
I definitely assumed Elias died with everyone else. The finality of Samaritan's executions made it so easy to assume so. Stoked that he isn't. Hoping he'll come into play for the finale. Also some Bear in the final acts will be awesome, too.
