Yeah, according to the slip in the Double Pack (Containing platinum hits version of both SR games), the Initiation Station let's you customize your own character and show it online before the game is released. I guess they can use the characters to prove how creative some of their players are.
There's no demo on any system. The Initiation Station is the demo.

The Initiation Station comes out when I am going to be on vacation. I bet Nov 1 is for the people who pre-ordered or bought or whatever it was that Red Faction game, and the rest of us will get the Station a week before the game.

I've learned to take those with a grain of salt at all times. Some games with similar specs, I can run. Others, I cant.
So, SR3 continues to look awesome. The guns look fun, the vehicles look fun, melee combat looks fun. There are a bazillion things you can do at the plastic surgeon, there are apparently hundreds of clothing combinations-- but I think I only see three sections there. I don't read or speak French, but I think things were divided into tops, bottoms and shoes. This is probably some custom debug demonstration version or something-- I doubt all of these clothes are available at Let's Pretend--so I hope this is just something related to that.
If the clothes are better put together, this isn't a big deal, but it limits choice, which kind of stinks.

@DouglasDanger I'm pretty sure those are the broad categories. We've seen videos that include more clothing options than that.
Have we seen multiple layers of tops though? Something like undershirt, shirt, jacket, all selected separately? Several of the tops in that vid have separate layers, such as sweater and jacket, but they are selected together as one package, such as the halter top and headphones the player puts their Boss in.

Some of the things you could do with layered tops in SR2 looked good-- t-shirt and track jacket, t-shirt, with or without dress shirt and blazer-- but most of the other options looked silly.
I guess we will have to wait and see! The wait keeps getting shorter...

Okay, I've been trying to contain my excitement for this game, but I want it so bad right now. I haven't been this hyped for a game since Oblivion, and that ended up disappointing me greatly. Saints Row the Third has healed that wound.
