Gotta be on a road, intersection is best, they're not the greatest drivers. The payoff however is awesome.
Johnny Gat mobile for the big last brawl for example.

Also, listening to the radio gets you good story info. Matt Miller's age was a real shocker.

    He's...
    Only 16.

To be fair, the Boss did refer to him as "That punk kid is Matt Miller!?"

Plus, I'm pretty sure he's voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Has he EVER voiced someone over the age of 18?

The Boss killed his own mentor, is it such a stretch to choose revenge over loyalty? The Boss likes his homies, but he isn't super attached to them. This is the same guy who threatened off hand to kill Shaundi if she screwed up giving him the right intel in SR2.

Is it brutal? Yes, but Boss looks devastated after losing the girls sitting in that pile of wreckage. Reminded me of him losing Carlos.

    uhhh...
The big difference being that the boss's mentor betrayed him/her and the saints.

...and you always threaten your lackies with death for screwing up, that's a given.

Naw, as soon as the option popped up I already knew where I was heading. I mean you can always go after that sumbitch later, then you can party it up with Burt, Viola, and Shaundi.
Gat was his homie for far longer, makes sense that he would ditch his current hired help in order to avenge him fully, he already has a whole new crew. Not to mention the way Shaundi has been acting the entire game, its entirely possible she would PREFER you to go after killbane than save her.
Plus, doesn't Angel die if you don't go after him?
The "evil" ending will also set up a better game for the sequel.

Pretty much because according to the alternate story write of the game...
That's exactly what would have happened. You would have lost Shaundi anyway, because if you didn't kill Killbane, she would have quit the Saints in disgust and joined STAG. Her general attitude would have been further explained as she was suffering from PTSD.

The write for Johnny would have been him showing up in a post credit zinger as a bodyguard for a new Syndicate leader or somesuch (brainwashing?).

Having just recently completed SR1, I can safely point out that in every instance when a "Homie" was threatened, the boss charged in to save them before going on to kill the responsible party. Granted, those two things were usually done at the same time, but the focus was always on saving friends first.

W00t! Beat the game with (what it calls) 100%, and completing everything except a few of the more grindy challenges. After doing both endings I think I clocked in around 33 hours with my Latin boss. Those of you who beat it in < 20, holy f'ing speed through, Batman. Were you nitrous'ing along the waypoint system to your next checkpoint on the entire time? Hah.

Most of what I thought about the game has already been said better by others, so I won't bother rehashing compliments/complaints, but I will say I loved the game and would highly recommend it to people love fun.

We've already had some modding success with SRTT. Customize all cars/planes/boats including non-customizable ones:
    http://mod.gib.me/saintsrow3/customize.zip

Simply extract the contents of the above archive to your install where the exe is:

    EDIT:
NOTE: This does not work for helicopters class vehicles like the VTOL or Spectre.

MAJOR SPOILERS REALLY DON'T CLICK IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE GAME, FOR REAL
While I'm loath to think that the boss would just abandon Shaundi and the others for the purposes of taking over Steelport and killing the last of his rivals, it really does feel like the most appropriate ending. I mean, really. Claiming the city as his own and utterly destroying anyone who could possibly dispute that? That's pure Saints right there. I'm sure sacrificing Shaundi wasn't the Boss' best possible desired outcome, but do you really think a total sociopath like that would sweat it compared to a chance at total domination? I just don't think the save your crew but totally sell out and make movies and what not ending really fits with the hard core gang banger idea that seems to fuel the Boss. As much as I would like to have my cake and eat it too, I think the sacrifice Shaundi and take over the town ending fits the best.

Also you have to remember, he was going to lose a homie either way. So his best option is to do what Shaundi would have wanted, and take over steel port in the process. Or he could do something she wouldn't agree with in order to save her, and one of the women responsible for Gat's death in the first place. Yeah Viola helped you out, but she was still part of the reason Gat was dead. So fuck her.
After redoing the final mission to save Shaundi, it felt really weird to have no closure with her about it. No real "thanks", no bitching at you about letting Killbane go. In fact that whole thread just kinda died. It better not be DLC. -_-

This. I had some amazingly hilarious moments in this. But I still can't get past the fact that so much has been completely gutted from the game since SR2. Customization options, missing vehicles (where the fuck is my monster truck?), and no teabag taunt :P. They even left out some activities that I was really hoping for. Why they chose to deny me the ability to drive around and spray people with a shit truck, I have no idea. I definitely don't consider SRTT to be as good as the last one was. Nowhere near, actually. They've really done some good things with the action sequences and scripted events, and the new activities were actually really fun, but they've got a long way to go if they want to top SR2.

Well, shit. Finally rented this and lo and behold I'm waist deep in technical problems on the ps3. I'm playing on a simple 19" HDTV Toshiba with built in speakers and I've never had this problem with any other game... but I'm missing half the sound effects in gameplay. Even direct gunshots sound muffled and weak. Melee combat is almost dead silent, half of the explosions make no sound whatsoever etc.

Went on youtube and found video of the plane level to confirm it... anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it?

Seems like I might have to fuck around in the options menu with the audio. Pretty sure I just always put it on the automatic option since most of the other audio choices are just different types of surround sound. Damn damn damn.

SR2's soundtrack was great. SR3's is great, but for different reasons. Same with the games themselves. Hell, SR3 introduced me to the Butthole Surfers, so good on it.

I'm probably just about in act 3 at this point. No, it was earlier. Involving a very whiny bastard. Well, okay, it was the second choice involving a very whiny bastard. I decided to go for cool points.

Also: I think there might be some bugs with the stronghold system.
Despite plot events involving my downtown crib, it hasn't changed its appearnace or usefulness yet. Similarly, other strongholds started "Saints-ified" instantly, didn't get any overhauls at rank 1, and then got an overhaul at rank 2. Somehow, I think they were supposed to look old-school, just purple, then rank 1 gets you the Saints look, followed by the ostentatious look.

    But I may be wrong.

Most of the choices in the game felt tacked on and the game felt worse for it. The only one that didn't feel stupid is the one where you
keep or blow up the Syndicate tower.

But the rest felt forced and not mutually exclusive.
    For the last mission:
Angel was the one convincing you to spare Killbane's life at Murderbrawl, but now he wants him dead? If killing Killbane was so important then you could have done it a long time ago. The Boss has put their life on the line for their homies. They are pretty much The Boss's family. There's no reason why the saints couldn't rescue their homies AND hunt down Killbane. The extra mission with STAG should have just been a regular mission. As with the Saints in space. Turning Steelport into a city state also makes no sense. The Saints already own Stilwater, why would they abandon that and restrict themselves to Steelport.
    For STAG's decision:
Zombies or Burt? Why bother making you choose? Obviously a criminal organisation with scientists like Oleg would keep some of the gas, especially if their enemies have it... but then you'd miss out on Burt as a homie. But does a gang really want SWAT as homies?
    For the Decker's decision:
just hack both of them for me you little punk. Wait, why even bother, I'll get Kinzie to do it.
    and for the Luchadore's decision:
get him to tell you the secret and then demask him anyway. It's not like he played by the rules when he blew up Johnny's precesion.

For Saints 4 Life I wanted something like the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood system, where you send assassin's (homies) to other cities and do missions and gain influence over the world. Use the whole media Ultor group to take the Entire world for the Saints.

So far I really like the game, but getting it running on my machine was a nightmare.
Installing from disc resulted in a broken game.
Had to redownload from Steam.I also have a dx10 problem.
The trick was to set all settings in dx9 mode, and edit the display.ini in the steamapps folder where sr3 isinstalled.
After that starting in dx10 mode works for me.
