I'm in dire need of a new graphics card. My current one is an 8800 GTS 512MB. It just isn't cutting it anymore. I have been looking around and the 6850 looks like a swell card, but out of my price range. I just cannot convince myself (or my wife) that I need to spend $250 on a graphics card.
What would you guys say is a great card for under $200? Or should I really just spend the extra money and get the 6850?

You want a great card for under $200, preferably ATI?

That should embarrass your current card so bad it kills itself. And you get a free copy of Dirt 3!
If you just want a 6850, well then this one's $135 after rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161384
You could cross over to the good side and grab this for $190 after a $10 rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130661 which comes with a coupon for Batman Arkham City.
I think I'm going to get this one...
Purchased. Thanks Chris!
Yes, the 560 is closer in performance to the 6950.
The 560 is more aligned against 6850, with the 6850 being the more powerful of the two.
It's important to note the ti suffix, as they are two very distinct cards.
my comparisons are based on pure performance. Obviously things like termals, noise and most importantly price will factor in which is the 'best' card
