wait before you get it. if the PC port's good get it there. if not, try the 360 with a gold subscription (not recommending the PS3 because there are just too many high-leveled tweaked up japanese super players that will immediately wreck your shit)

I remember the Capra demon going from really hard to really easy as soon as I could one hit his rat buddies and didn't have to worry about them too, didn't do any exploiting

Yeah don't watch that. A lot of the fun of the game is heading into areas not having a clue what to expect, then getting utterly destroyed by it.
i watched a few video reviews and that's all i have watched, pretty much. I've bought, finished and put away (i can't bring myself to sell games after the shafting Gamestop gave me once) three or four games since I first thought about buying this game. It has been a long wait. That isn't ending any time soon. Goddamn vehicle needing shit

Yeah, I figured out (kind of with help, but mostly just confirmed what I thought) that you just need to get the fuck out of his way and kill his dogs. Dude is so much less dangerous when they aren't constantly keeping you from moving.
His super big hits can't be blocked, so you just have to stay really agile.
Being able to quickly one-hit each dog is super important here

The Hydra is awful and somebody told me to just come back to it later but goddammit I was so close to killing it that one time I think I'm gonna keep on throwing myself against it until I can beat it
i don't know, they did pretty much what they said they would do with the pc release
it's basically a port, just like they said it would be
if it sells OK, maybe the next game FROM makes... demon, dark... dire? will have a better budget for the PC version or something

which reminds me that I am in no way looking forward to doing the capra demon
almost all other boss fights revolve around figuring out the tactic you need to take and then trying to pull it off
but that one seems to be all about exploiting a glitch in the environment where it can't reach you and you can throw fire bombs at it
it also requires just random luck
will you survive that first blow and subsequent follow through? lets see this time

Getting cursed really sucks and also the Capra Demon is a shitfucker.
I do not know anything about builds or what the good weapons and gear are. I am using guides a bit because I would like to have some fun here.
