    I'm very annoyed by the fact that I'm one of the last people to load into caspian border every round. By the time I spawn I'm lucky if there is even a buggy left to jump into, sometimes I actually wait for one of the points to be taken and spawn there. And I have a beefy system with an SSD.

    Same. I'm one of the first on Metro to spawn in but Caspian takes a lot longer for me to load. My system shouldn't have an issue loading big maps... Unless Highest settings increases load times :o

    Same here as well. Which is frustrating because then it seems only the idiots who drive into super vulnerable positions get to the tanks first. That or the people who run away while you're repairing them.

    Oh fuuuck, I remember coming up on a point, maybe the hilltop, and I saw a bunch of trees to my left get blown back by tank fire. They weren't uprooted, they just swayed at a ludicrous angle. I've never seen trees behave like that in a game, though I haven't played Crysis either.

They parachute down to platforms they can't get to normally, then place a mobile spawn point up there so they can keep sniping from their hugely advantageous position. I'm fine if they want to get up there, but God dammit you're wasting a perfectly good jet or helicopter to do it.

    In retail the antenna will be the first thing to be destroyed so we won't have that problem. Hopefully a bunch of recons will be on it when it falls.

    So what do you guys think about lowering the graphics options to make it easier to see people?

    It seems like on ultra there's way more dappled shade, thick smoke and HDR/bloomy stuff that makes it really tough to pick out the enemy.

    The bastards do that to in Heavy Metal on BC2. Take a helo to get on the wind turbine to be a dumb sniper.

    Yeah, i'm kind of the same (I bought a GTX 480 for gods sake), but I never really stop to take in the environment in multiplayer games, because then I get shot in the face and have to run all the way from base again.

    I mostly just keep it on high to justify the ridiculous cost of my pc.

    The support class is awesome, I just wish the foregrip unlock doesn't take so damn long. Stuff for the UMP seems to unlock every round....then again, with the UMP you're getting like 20+ kills per game.

    Likewise. Even with prone and the crazy amount of vegetation in this game I will never compromise for the sake of practicality!

    Game is a lot harder when 8 people on your team are standing in line for the jets.

    They really should have made it so you can only fly by spawning into them. That way people have to sit at the deploy screen and get lucky, and it'd be a piece of cake to kick them for idling.

    They made it so it's easier to see other players. Basically, they're cheating. It's not about graphic fidelity or a certain look, but about padding their stats.

    It's a cheating texture mod. They're just reducing clutter/visual cover to make it trivial to spot hostiles.

    The most immersive aspects of the game in my opinion are the graphics, and sound which are fantastic. The animations are rather mediocre, even with me ignoring the fact that they obviously didn't hire a competent consultant.

    What, are you serious? I can't even think of another game that comes close to the realism and fluidity of BF3's animations. Certainly not another FPS.

    Can I have another moan about the helicopter flight model? Because damn... I hope retail has some sort of tutorial that you can practice with.

    We also need to be able to turn our heads in vehicles with keys.

    Totally serious. What animations are we talking about here? Because I don't really care if the model racks the slide or properly seats a round in the chamber on a rifle. I'm talking about how dropping to prone is often a teleport onto your stomach from the 3rd-person view. Or how jarring it is how people stand and crouch. Or how, despite in a game where I'm constantly scaling and jumping off of rocks (Caspian), the animations for climbing and falling are the same ones for mantling and...running.

    Sure, let's make animations take as long as it does in real life for a full laden soldier with a gun (And SMAW on his back!) to go from prone to standing to running, I bet it will be loads of fun!
