I'm very annoyed by the fact that I'm one of the last people to load into caspian border every round. By the time I spawn I'm lucky if there is even a buggy left to jump into, sometimes I actually wait for one of the points to be taken and spawn there. And I have a beefy system with an SSD.
Same. I'm one of the first on Metro to spawn in but Caspian takes a lot longer for me to load. My system shouldn't have an issue loading big maps... Unless Highest settings increases load times

Suddenly I see trees flying everywhere, like some scary movie with a giant monster
Then out of the treeline a jet bursts like a magnificent bird
For a second he starts ascending as if he's going to break free from the clutches of the forest, but instead he nosedives into the field and explodes
A few trees come tumbling after him. I wipe a tear from my eye

Oh fuuuck, I remember coming up on a point, maybe the hilltop, and I saw a bunch of trees to my left get blown back by tank fire. They weren't uprooted, they just swayed at a ludicrous angle. I've never seen trees behave like that in a game, though I haven't played Crysis either.

Yeah, i'm kind of the same (I bought a GTX 480 for gods sake), but I never really stop to take in the environment in multiplayer games, because then I get shot in the face and have to run all the way from base again.
I mostly just keep it on high to justify the ridiculous cost of my pc.

The support class is awesome, I just wish the foregrip unlock doesn't take so damn long. Stuff for the UMP seems to unlock every round....then again, with the UMP you're getting like 20+ kills per game.

Game is a lot harder when 8 people on your team are standing in line for the jets.
They really should have made it so you can only fly by spawning into them. That way people have to sit at the deploy screen and get lucky, and it'd be a piece of cake to kick them for idling.

They made it so it's easier to see other players. Basically, they're cheating. It's not about graphic fidelity or a certain look, but about padding their stats.
I can't get over how immersive the game is. The movement and animations just feel so RIGHT.
Really? The animations are buggy as hell. And I know..."beta, bro!" but still. The fact that people are dropping prone and clipping through walls is lame, even for beta. The way they've been pimping their animation and work they got from the FIFA guys, I'd expect basic clipping to be a thing.
Also, I cross my fingers for an auto-mantle feature while I'm sprinting. Seriously, sometimes I have to press space just to hop over a cinder block. Brink lives on, damnit!

What, are you serious? I can't even think of another game that comes close to the realism and fluidity of BF3's animations. Certainly not another FPS.
Totally serious. What animations are we talking about here? Because I don't really care if the model racks the slide or properly seats a round in the chamber on a rifle. I'm talking about how dropping to prone is often a teleport onto your stomach from the 3rd-person view. Or how jarring it is how people stand and crouch. Or how, despite in a game where I'm constantly scaling and jumping off of rocks (Caspian), the animations for climbing and falling are the same ones for mantling and...running.
Sure, let's make animations take as long as it does in real life for a full laden soldier with a gun (And SMAW on his back!) to go from prone to standing to running, I bet it will be loads of fun!

It seems like on ultra there's way more dappled shade, thick smoke and HDR/bloomy stuff that makes it really tough to pick out the enemy.

They really should have made it so you can only fly by spawning into them. That way people have to sit at the deploy screen and get lucky, and it'd be a piece of cake to kick them for idling.
It's a cheating texture mod. They're just reducing clutter/visual cover to make it trivial to spot hostiles.
