Unfortunately even the enforcer couldn't make me a decent spy. I'm much more of a run into the middle of a battle guy than a lurk at the edges and wait for targets to present themselves guy.
So run up to people, fail a stab, then gun them down anyway. Use the DR and Spy-cicle to escape.
Or you could skip attempting to stab them and just shoot them in the face with the Enforcer. Works better than you'd expect.

Well this is annoying. I actually played a bit of TF2 yesterday and saved a replay I'd like to render. Except the game crashes when I load any of the replays I recorded yesterday.
I lost a replay of Ebo and I colliding mid air as scouts with our double jumps depleted.
Over a death pit.
I had a replay of two spies doing something like that. They were both cloaked and jumping to/from the lower bridge on doublecross (near the barrier outside of the sewers), they hit each other and one kinda was standing on the other's head at some point as they both fell to their deaths.

Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.
Apparently the last TF2 replay I put on YouTube was back on October 6th.
In the meantime I've only managed to get a couple that have been worthwhile and/or haven't crashed TF2 when trying to load the replays. This first one I had been playing soldier for most of the third stage and hadn't seen a crit rocket the whole time. Having voiced my dissatisfaction over the fact only a short time beforehand, this made me happy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg8Elwu2eSM
edit: And interestingly, on that second clip, the rocket hit me when I was still touching the ledge on my screen. It does look way more cool from your perspective. You should zoom in more on your clips though, hard to tell what's going on from so far away sometimes.
I can understand hating on the Widowmaker when it first came out, because it was a shotgun with a three-round clip whose gimmick of restoring metal for damage worked if you were point-blank on the enemy with perfect aim.
Now it's a six-round shotgun at worst, with level odds of getting you more Metal than you started with and firing indefinitely. If it weren't for the Pomson being a total middle finger to two of the three most dangerous sentry-crackers in the game, it'd be my go-to for Engineer.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
Widowmaker also makes the engy a pretty crazy uber target. If they're a good aim they can go for the full uber without reloading, and the only other class that can do that is the heavy.

This is a good thing that you have posted.

Does anyone actually watch silly 20 second clips of TF2 gameplay that people like me make?

Yours was good.

Anything longer than that though, man, you had better have something good!
Makes me wonder if there's a bug where replays queued up within a certain amount of time to each other will break things.

Why are half of your clips killing me?
Why, Ebo? Why?

(no one on SA liked it, I was trying to justify my use of the widowmaker which is an awesome fun gun. jerkfaces.)

Both of those are fantastic!

I'm mostly interested if anyone is getting better or worse framerates compared to B7.
I think I forgot to build the cubemaps, so enjoy hideous purple boxes everywhere. If it offends you, type "mat_specular 0" in the console.
I still have a laundry list of things to fix but I'm not sure how much more we can do on the performance front without taking a hacksaw to the map.
